There's one quest line in the Dragonborn DLC that I find kind of interesting.

You pay a guy to mine into a dungeon, before you explore it, and you have to keep coming back to explore everything, as they dig up more of the mine.

Change like that is cool but it's also so weird in games.

Like the world is frozen and unchanging except for a few things that only progress as you accomplish stuff.

F you Talos,  f you.

I played the Talos 2 principle demo and it shows a prompt if you right click, to move a laser connector, you can keep all the devices connected to the laser connector, connected.  So handy if you have to move the laser connector a  little bit or need to add on another device without resetting it.

I thought it was a nice knew addition until I tried the right click on Talos 1 and lo and behold, I could do the same on there but they don't show the prompt.

So basically after multiple playthroughs and I'm pretty much done with the game, I discover a feature that would of made things a little less awkward and it was seemingly always there.

lol I feel like I knew about that. Game would be a lot more frustrating otherwise.

On Skyrim, I have the level 50 trophy left, and a DLC trophy for killing a legendary dragon.

Which requires level 78....

I'll definitely get the platinum soon, but I doubt I'll get the dlc trophy...

I had a lot of trouble with Painscreek killings. I missed one important thing super early in the game so eventually I had 90% solved all mysteries yet had no way to progress. I had to keep searching areas with a fine tooth comb and while I found a couple things, none of them ever lead to new mysteries. Finally I found the important thing and then the whole game opened up again, but it was lame busy work because I already knew almost everything the game was trying to reveal. Very end was fun though.

I missed something in Scott Brooks' room. That building was the very first open world building I entered, so I was just super unlucky. Like the complete opposite of my OW Echoes of the Eye playthrough.

Painscreek Killings has a lot of similarities to Hapax but hopefully the differences in execution work out in my favor. My design is a lot less rigid so players shouldn't ever feel like they discovered stuff in the wrong order or missed something mandatory. Painscreek feels engineered with all the hints and leads but even the world design feels engineered. Lots of problems could be solved if the player could just smash a window or crouch under a chain. It's fine, but it forces you as the player to think "what do the devs want me to do to solve this" instead of just "how do I solve this." Hapax is an immersive sim so of course it doesn't have this issue. Also Hapax is a genuine world so there's no reason to expect a solution to just fall into the player's lap if they keep playing.

Of course my big fear with Hapax is that it'll be boring. Solving murders is a lot more thrilling than alien archeology.

Edt: forgot to give a score. Painscreek 8/10

I'm having trouble finishing any games.

If I love a game, I have no problem spending months in a single game.

Other than that, I feel antsy. I keep thinking I could be playing Returnal or Ghost of Tsushima or a dozen other games. So many games in my backlog.

I know I'm going to be playing Super Mario RPG in 2 weeks. But aside from that I am struggling to get through a game.

There are a few games that I know that I would get sucked into, been wanting to replay Uncharted, Batman AC recently, but I feel like I should play more of the games that have been stuck in my backlog.

I got sucked into Skyrim, Horizon 2 recently.

Yet I'm struggling to put 10 hours into any of these games:
- Returnal
- Ghost of Tsushima
- Death Stranding
- Diablo 3

I need to finish ghost of tsushima. Was cool but yeah I just kinda stopped playing.

That happens for me with many open world games. Didn't finish rdr2 for example  :o

Scene Investigators is average. Its missing something that doesn't make investigating that rewarding. Disappointed so far.

And two days after this, I got hooked by Hades.  Took like an hour and a half.

Having a good time.

There's lots of permanent progression that makes it feel more worth it.

One thing that kind of bugs me about Hades is how reliant it is on luck.

Got a bunch of perks that particularly matched my play style and made it twice as far as I've ever made it.

The Roottrees are Dead by jjohnstongames

Fun free online mystery game. Like Return of the Obra Dinn and The Case of the Golden Idol.

Not finished yet but close. Crazy that it's just offered for free since this is something I'd easily pay $10 for.

And finished. Got stuck a bit in the middle but the final challenge was a breeze.

Yeah that was great. A free game is yet again one of my favorite games of the year. @kitler53 @SWORDF1SH  yall should definitely try it out.
