Posts like these are really why I majorly dislike Aquamarine, she is one of the main people fueling the vgchartz hate on Neogaf and it's just extremely irrational. Now I believe that vgchartz's tracking has some major problems, especially in the software department and I'm pretty annoyed about ioi not really being willing to fix them, but you have to accept that his reasoning for waiting with his adjustments was understandable in that situation.

Aquamarine is really just acting like a little kid when it comes to vgchartz.

ioi had no real numbers to compare to in European regions but acted like he did.

Yeah. We all had lengthy discussions about how ioi comes up with his numbers. It was very clear after several announcements of numbers and ratios coming out of Europe that the numbers he was coming up with for the region were way off. He refused to believe Sony when they announced numbers at one point and there was a nasty little debate involving him on VGC about it. We've also seen first hand how he tracks X1 numbers higher than they really are. He's done it almost constantly since the generation began. He has NEVER doubted the announced X1 numbers be they shipped or sold yet for some reason he wanted to try and call battleship on Sony when I don't think it's even legal for Sony to lie in announcements like that. He acted like he was supposed to be the fudgy arbiter over the validity of numbers being announced. A website about sales should be posting the most accurate information possible and only use guesstimates where information is absent. Not posting numbers based on what the owner wants to believe. Official announcements should be treated as credible unless proven otherwise by someone who has the power to do so. He did not have that power so he needed to just keep his mouth shut and correct his numbers. I don't like childish behavior in calling people or places out but sometimes I find it fitting.

No he didn't, ioi adjusted to what other tracking companies said about MS number immediately, there's a difference, MS hasn't been talking about sellthrough with the X1 in forever.

even when we got better numbers for the ps4 in Europe he didn't nearly update them as fast as the XB1 numbers after Ms PR. That is definitely true.

As for software, I don't really care about those that much. There are tons of games and we get very few updates. Unlike HW there are only 5 with handhelds and get constant updates. I mean, it's very clear there aren't 60k wii u on shelves everywhere besides japan. Nintendo even breaks it down by region. Ioi never adjusts that.

To tell you the truth I really doubted xbox one sold almost 200k a week in EU during the holidays

Yeah but doing almost 150k everywhere else in the EU is rather high for a console consisted dread in most of EU.
