I think it's insane all the studios Sony has in the UK.

I'd like to see them branch out a little more. Guerrilla Games seems to be the only European studio they have that's not based in the UK.

Yeah me too.  Quantic Dream would be a place to go.  ;)
Get some French developers in there.

Weird how little development is done in Germany/France/Poland/etc.
Well maybe not so weird, but Germany seems like it should've had something before the Netherlands.

Don't you know? Sony closed 3 UK studios in 2015...

But yeah, I also think they could expand to other european countries a little, though I can't really think of many realistic candidates that I'd really be interested, they could always build one from the ground up though I guess. Housemarque could be a good candidate or the dev of Rime, assuming that game ever sees the light of day and is actually good and of course Quantic Dream, even though I personally couldn't give two nuggets about Sony acquiring them or not.

Legitimately why I posted it.

I still stand by my opinion, even though I know people disagree, that the german game development industry is largely worthless. I would love it if a studio came out of Germany that I would consider a worthwile AAA studio on the global market, but the last time a studio from here really had a chance to become something like that it was Crytek, but they are way too focused on making their games look good, instead of making actually good games, so they've understandably fallen off the radar.

Since when was North West Studio a thing?

Sony sets up North West Studio to make Project Morpheus games • Eurogamer.net
Almost a full year ago.

It's really weird, because the US has basically 7 studios right now, while the UK has 6, and that's after the UK closed 2 studios and the US closed 1, and opened 1 in the US.

Yeah, I mean how else would you gather the most talented group of people in the world, America!?

Man, I'm thirsty for some more cool PS news, not just all these bad Xbox announcements, give me some Ratchet & Clank or SFV march update info.

i guess we are gonna have to wait for E3 for that. Sony had two PS conferences by the end of last year, which they released A LOT of new info and had a shame ton of announcements. and this year they had a lot of games releasing, exclusives or console exclusives, and will continue to do so till E3, so those will have the majority of the spot light. Firewatch, Gravity Rush Remastered and Street Fighter released. next month its ratchet, then in may its Uncharted. the focus has been on those games for the most part.

there are a lot of games releasing now on Playstation, and while there has been an expected lack of new news, i dont mind that at all. i got a lot to play anyway to fill up the time :P

there is that PSVR event this month, if you care about that. and GDC, but those usually dont have much new info for the consumers.

I'm not expecting huge things but updates on games that are closer to launch, which Sony has been pretty frequent about actually. Just less than an hour we got a new trailer on Alienation as well as a release date for April 26th, which is cool (but apparently the game won't have local coop which is a real bummer).

There's supposed to be info on SFV's march update coming this week as well, so I'm hoping for an Alex trailer and R&C is only about a month away from launch in the US, so they should start beating the drums for that too, especially since I heard the movie might actually be good.

Ok, now this is just pissing me off about the PS community, Sony released a quick video showcasing 6 digital only games coming to PS4 until late April, some of which look really cool, that you can get 10% off if you preorder. Sounds good, right? What could people have to complain about this?

Well apparently the simple fact that those games exist is reason enough to complain to a lot of people, the video has like 30% downvotes and the comment sections is filled with stupid comments, like the top comment saying that these games will come to PS+ in the future, which they apparently think is an insult. How fudgy stupid and entitled do you have to be to baby and complain about these games coming to PS4?

Yeah the past few years have really seen a divide grow between PS AAA fans and PS indie fans. So many indie trailers on the channel get downvotes and comments like that.

Interestingly enough, it's mostly an American thing. On the European PlayStation channels and PlayStation Blog these types of comments are much rarer.
