Columbo blu-ray (November 21st, 2023)
Oppenheimer (November 21st, 2023)
Monk blu-ray (November 28th, 2023)
Hilda season 3 (December 7th)
Monk movie (December 8th)
Suzume (TBA)
The Boys Season 3 iTunes (TBA)
The Boy and the Heron (TBA)

Have to see if Wish or Elio end up being any good.
Columbo delayed by a month.

A pretty big week for me with Hilda and Monk movie.

Picture quality definitely looks better. Biggest difference though is better colors.

But not a huge upgrade, probably not worth getting for most people who have the DVD series.
The more that I look at it, the better I feel about it.
Colors are more lifelike, the DVD looks dull by comparison. A pretty big upgrade for 480i to 1080p.

I think my big complaint would be that there's a lot of film noise.

The Psych, Monk and Peacock TV Facebook pages all put out a post about "what if Monk met the Psych team"

And I'm just like this better be a tease for the future, otherwise I'm going to be mad.

Hilariously Peacock seems to only have Monk in 480i or something around there.

That is pretty funny. You'd think streaming services would have the best quality available.

On the complete other end of the spectrum from the Godfather, I've been watching Be Cool, Scooby-Doo.

I was expecting it to be atrocious, it has a terrible art style, and it kind of gets ignored in favor of Mystery Incorporated, and the original and What's New.

But surprisingly, I'm enjoying it, maybe even more than the original. It's got quirky characters, the writing is mostly good.

It's not as good as Mystery Incorporated though. That one I would liken more to a slightly worse Gravity Falls than the other Scooby-Doo series.

Casting looks really good.

Cautiously optimistic about this.

What would people say are their top ~5 favorite shows?

A Walmart third party is selling the owl house complete series

And I'm like 95% sure this is a bootleg. And I'm kind of fascinated that someone is likely selling bootleg TV series on walmart.com

I don't think about tv shows so this is just a random 5 off the top of my head, not a list I've refined year after year.

Expanse
Game of Thrones
Foundation
South Park
Downton Abbey

I have a great appreciation for longevity.   a show that is great for 200 episodes means more than a show that is amazing for 8 episodes.  a show that is great the 10th time I watch it means more than a show that is only amazing the first watch.

in no particular order:
- friends
- Seinfeld
- breaking bad/better call Saul
- full house/fuller house
- buffy the vampire slayer
- Dr who
- star trek
- Simpsons
- bluey
- firefly

Ah yes I somehow forgot Seinfeld. Probably have to knock the office down to honourable mentions and put Seinfeld in

I'm going to go with top 6, not necessarily in order.

Avatar The Last Airbender
Monk
Gravity Falls
Breaking Bad
Futurama
The Owl House

I feel like Monk is probably the worst on the list quality wise. But I think it's a pretty unique show. A lot of crime shows go more into serious drama than I really like. Monk is a big comfort show for me.

Halo tv show season 2 is coming in a month, nice.

Wonder how they will have reacted to fan feedback.
