"dud" is overkill.   it's just not the "GotG" xbots wanted it to be and MS perhaps needed it to be to turn around xbox's bad sales.

Will be interesting to see. Some of the reviewers sound absolutely stupid in their snippets but others make it rightfully sound like an 8/10. If the rpg mechanics are lacking, that'll really suck

so kind of skimmed this a bit now...

... my take away is that it's biggest problem is being a "space" game.  as in starfield successfully recreated the sense of exploring space which is a vast expanse of nothing of interest.   i think this is a reflect of people thinking they want one thing but not really.  they want a vast expanse of space but they actually want it to be packed with a unrealistic density of interesting content.

in other words,.. the game is exactly what i thought it was and exactly what i don't want to play.  but i can totally see why some people would be completely enthralled by this.
