Shame. Wasn't going to get it at launch anyway, so this is kind of eh.

i'll bet the game doesn't need the extra time so much as they are aligning its release to a shipment of ps5s.   ps5 doesn't need more exclusives right now,.. it needs more stock.

Pretty much what I was thinking. Why release this when everything you're shipping is selling? Plus this way you get more PS5 out there, a bigger install base for the game.

Im April when demand starts to drop, you release this to help pick things up.

Absolutely, even Destruction next week week until the end of March feels like a mistake. PS5 needs no software right now, save it all for when demand actually needs to be be pushed, like second half of this year or even later. We'll still have third parties and our backlogs to play.

The XSX vs PS5 thing exemplifies this. PS5 exclusives and software has been a magnitude better, but they're both still selling out. I'm not sure how much exclusive software that released in the past helps future demand, obviously it does a bit but not as much as if that same software released later down the line.

Well we have to take into consideration that these games need to make money, and their marketing plan and business plans have them releasing in quarter. If the game doesn't release until 4 months later. The dev isn't getting payed until 4 months the later.

My Point it, there are a lot of stakeholders in these situation. Also destruction all stars isn't the type of game to move units. But as a PS+ game it will reach a good amount of the community and you need to keep those players happy. Also it will help with the narrative that PS has better and more exclusives

honestly, it is the bigger mistake.   at least returnal is a single player game.  destruction all stars is going to try an build an active online community out of only ~5 million customers WW.   yeah, that's a mountain to climb.   i don't know what they were thinking by even suggesting this as a launch day title...

Possibly the best PS+ month ever, if you like Control. I so so wish I'd waited and played it on PS5 now, this kinda sucks. The PS4 version is dog.
2 good months in a row!

I'm gonna play it myself later but judging by the Era OT, Destruction Allstars isn't being particularly well received. I did watch some gameplay footage yesterday and it didn't look that fun tbh. I guess we'll see.

The big thing for me though is I can't believe on top of the stupid £70 price they're making you pay for most of the single player content in the game and apparently cosmetic MTX are quite pricy. This game should have been fully f2p, or maximum £20. Whoever made this £70 just knows nothing about the market, this game is not going to sell at all.

The game literally can not be bought at the moment if you haven't noticed.

Yeah I was about to come back and say. Perhaps if they do sell it for £70 after these two months it'll include all the story stuff, and this is just getting the PS+ users to spend money on it.

Played for a couple of hours. And yeah, this isn't gonna be the next thing. Will be forgotten about quite quickly I expect. It's just not that great.

Sony just barely advertised this it seems. Launch day for a new AAA multiplayer focused game on PS+ and its only got 7k viewers on twitch. It just seems like nobody cares, people who have a PS5 are checking it out because they might as well, but people who don't have a PS5 don't even care to watch it and find out what its all about.
