WOW!

George H.W. Bush to vote for Hillary - NeoGAF

Quote
QuoteFormer President George H.W. Bush is bucking his party's presidential nominee and plans to vote for Hillary Clinton in November, according to a member of another famous political family, the Kennedys.
Bush, 92, had intended to stay silent on the White House race between Clinton and Donald Trump, a sign in and of itself of his distaste for the GOP nominee. But his preference for the wife of his own successor, President Bill Clinton, nonetheless became known to a wider audience thanks to Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend, the former Maryland lieutenant governor and daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy.

QuoteOn Monday, Townsend posted a picture on her Facebook page shaking hands next to the former president and this caption: "The President told me he’s voting for Hillary!!”
In a telephone interview, Townsend said she met with the former president in Maine earlier today, where she said he made his preference known that he was voting for a Democrat. “That’s what he said,” she told POLITICO.

Well... there is quite a bit of murder and torture in the Islamic texts, but that's besides the point.

The notion that calling out Islamic terrorism equates to lumping Islam with murderers is a rather slippery slope. Not all murderers follow Islam and everyone knows that even if some won't admit it. Islamic terrorism is a specific term. It refers to terrorists who murder in the name of Islam. However, if you say that all murderers are Muslims, then that's where you 100% lump the religion with murderers.

The more I hear him talk the less I like him. I'm already not a big fan of his foreign policy.

So do I. As a means to keep China in check. Which is the real reason it exists. It's a stepping stone to increasing American and, by extension, Western power in the Pacific. It's part of a plan to increase ties with countries like Vietnam and there are many others in the region who aren't a part of it yet but want in on it very badly, like Indonesia. Vietnam, by the way, is working on a port that just so happens to have a spot that would perfectly fit a US supercarrier. If the TPP goes through, it creates an even more valid reason for an increased American presence in Asian waters and China won't be able to claim that we are provoking them because we have "legitimate business interests" in those waters. Which will also incredibly hamper China's claims to the South China Sea. We knew China wouldn't want in on it because it would mean conceding their interests and forcing them to play fair in the Pacific markets. But by not being a part of it, they have to watch as multiple Asian rivals benefit from it and the West gets to park its collective dog right in their backyard.
