MS: Devs Could Make Scorpio Only Titles | "Up to the Game Development Community" - NeoGAF

Quote/
From the interview the Youtube live stream had with Shannon Loftis (GM of game publishing at MS). First I've heard one way or the other on this subject, figure folk may be interested if this wasn't already covered.
Quote-So it sounds like there won't be any games that would ship that would be Scorpio only right?
-I don't know about that. We'll see. It's up to the game development community.

There was also confirmation XB1 games can be scaled up (to 4K?) for Scorpio.
QuoteGame developers that are writing games...if they want to ship the game sooner if they enable dynamic scaling the game will automatically look better on Scorpio

Under the hood ps4k and Scorpio should be the same.  I'm curious as to why the ps4k is under clocked.  maybe the APU needs a larger cooling system that the standard ps4 box can't hold?

Process mature? Like Sony will be using the new process already while MS will wait 1,5 years.

That is the same reason I believe AMD didn't showed any Polaris full with 40CUs.

Quote from: ethomaz on Jun 13, 2016, 10:28 PMPeople on GAF is set for disappointment lol

They are really believing 6TFs Scorpio GPU will run games better than GTX 1080 with 4k@60fps due code to metal (while GTX 1080 runs actual games at 4k@30fps).

They didn't receive the meno 6TFs AMD GPU is close to $199 GPU called RX 480 launched this month.
there won't be and "code to metal" on scorpio.  who would make it??  not ms lol,.. their priority is to port everything to win10.

Quote"When we started looking at Scorpio," he says, "we asked the partners, 'in order to build a true high-fidelity 4K game, what capabilities do you need?' That's what we designed Scorpio around. It's kind of like a [GeForce GTX] 980 card on the PC. I get the capability that I need as a developer to deliver a high-fidelity 4K game.

4K games.

@ethomaz

4K games.
That is my doubt.

GTX 980 didn't run 4k with quality.

For exemple GTX 980 can run Battlefield 4 in 4k with high preset without any AA at 30fps (42fps showed is average so I believe that way it can run at smooth 30fps).

That'll be easy.
Yeap or even some details in low for future titles.

Ohhhh and we are comparing a GTX 980 paired with Core i7 on PC compared with what AMD super CPU come with Scorpio.

fumbling the marketing again.  this is very important shame to know and if they say one thing now and then don't follow through there will be anger and pitchforks.
