 Quantum Break was revealed with a teaser trailer during the Xbox One reveal event on 21 May 2013.[20] While developing the game, developers Remedy Entertainment consulted a scientist lecturer who had worked at CERN who taught them how to write the plot in such a way that it adhered to current theoretical physics.[15] The game was initially scheduled for release in 2014[21] but was subsequently delayed until 2015. It was further delayed to 2016 so as to make the final product more "polished" while not clashing with  other Microsoft exclusives scheduled to be released in late 2015.[22] Remedy has created a brand new engine to power Quantum Break called the "Northlight Engine".[23] The game is set to be released on 5 April 2016.[24]

 In February 2016, it was announced that Quantum Break would be released on PC exclusively for Windows 10 via Windows Store and would require DirectX 12.[25][26]

 On 21 February 2016, Remedy confirmed that the game had been declared gold, indicating it was being prepared for duplication and release.[27]

 This sure as hell sounds like a fudgy expensive game. But not only that:

 

• The game was shown in three E3's in a row with Microsoft giving the game a section of each conference.
• Bundled the game with the console, and comboed with a 50$ price cut.
• Got rid of the first main actor to go with a more Hollywood feel with a new more recongnized main character.
• Implemented a never seen before live action series, which entire lengh is just like an entire movie.

 I dont know about you guys, but barely selling a million copies doesnt sound too hot for such an expensive and hyped game.

 P.D. This is in no way, shape or form a downplay of the game per se, i finished it yesterday and loved every second of it. I hope it sells enough for a sequel to be guaranteed.

Wow hopefully QB can find some legs.

Does seem like a fun game but I think they blew it with marketing. The TV commercial I've been seeing is so bad. Just shows a bunch of faces and angst, with only a few seconds of action. That's not how you get people's attention!

well this was last year when it didn't look like the wii u would be passed in 2016. It's an obvious PS4 win for everyone now but at the time it was a brave call.

Aaron Greenberg is such a misleading bag, he tweeted this saying the QB is the best selling new IP that MS published this gen, which clearly looks like he's talking about lifetime. But the Eurogamer article he referenced says week one and not lifetime.

The 65.8 million is as of December 31st 2011

The 66 million is as of January 10th 2012.

It's not hard to see the difference. in fact it literally is the first thing you see in that neogaf link you posted above, that the period is through December 31st 2011.

The other thing you posted about him saying sell through rather than sell in is also false. People just don't understand the difference and assumed he was wrong when he wasn't.

But like I said above, dude is the definition of PR spin sometimes. You have to read what he says carefully.
