Tuesday seems likely, at Sonys CES conference.

Btw. as the console race has become more and more pointless to follow, since the PS4 will win anyway, I've started falling back to my original sales interests, which are game sales. It's cool to see the PS4 still selling these ridiculous numbers, but I also wanna know how games that I'm interested in are actually doing (not how they are doing on the chertz, cause we know how off that can be). Bloodborne had sold 2 million in September, where is it now? Same for Driveclub, it also passed 2 million some time ago. Or Infamous SS, where is that now?

And what about next years games? I wanna know how much SFV, UC4, R&C, Horizon, Persona 5 etc. are going to sell worldwide, but I'll probably be shame out of luck, because companies rarely share this info. D:

Hi All,

I was having a chat with Thomas Bidaux on twitter earlier today. He is an analyst for ICO Partners and usually posts some really useful stuff, I'd recommend following him if you want to see some great stats about the Video Game Industry. One of the posts he made was in regards to the most written about games this year and to my surprise 'GTA5' appeared 3rd on the list, ahead of many games that released in 2015. It clearly shows that GTA 5 is still very much being played this year and journalists are still writing about the game and the new DLC packs coming out for the more than 8 million players who log into GTA Online each week.

Anyway, decided to go back over the numbers from Take Two Interactive's investor briefings and I've discovered that the total amount of revenue generated from sales of Grand Theft Auto products has exceeded $2.3 billion since GTA5 launched in 2013. This number does include revenue generated from products unrelated to GTA 5 (such as mobile ports) but the majority of that number will be from GTA 5 and GTA Online itself.

The series has also sold in more than 225 million units worldwide including more than 54 million units of Grand Theft Auto 5.

I did a quick write up on my blog linked below for those who would like to read a bit more but it's pretty much covered above.

Yeah Grand Theft Auto's a beast.  I'm surprised Rockstar didn't milk it last gen.

Kinda.

Not the best announcements, but they had great presentations. Smash tournament, treehouse live, etc.

Nintendo was quite aware that the future was all digital, and so they made a press conference that was all digital!   They win by default.
