Even though it 10% I think it's representative of the market. Amazon is online retailer who services the entire country.

Sounds like Tacos has competition.

I'm not sure there's a huge point in bundling the game in the west, what Sony should do imo is take up publishing of the game in Europe to make it a 2016 release here as well, since Atlus themselves apparently can't be bothered to. Maybe even do some localization for the bigger european markets (Germany, France, Italy and Spain) to expand the games sales potential over here.

Hopefully in the future North America and Europe will end up being treated the same as far as localization efforts and publishers. Pretty silly that two markets in the industry that are so very similar are still treated separately and we're still at a point where a game releasing in one region doesn't guarantee a release in the other.

Yeah I know its been bad overall but I think WiiU needs to take its victories where it can.

It seems to me that the only reason this boost has happened is because of a well priced bundle which gives great value. Perhaps its time for a price cut, Nintendo!

Agree, but my posts usually account for the industry as a whole and try to put things into perspective. From where I'm standing this is going to be the lowest gen installed base for home consoles in Japan since gen 5 (excluding NX).

Correct. The Super Mario Maker set is now being sold as the primary bundle.

Splatoon can do well on its own and is doing well unbundled in Japan. The only limitation is the install base of the Wii U.

The number is derived from analysis done by Wedbush Securities.

It's not going to be wildly wrong. But not going to be 100% exact either. You can pretty much take it as it is and I'm sure EA will be quick to confirm the game has done well during future investor briefings.

Pacific Crest Securities, another investment firm, estimates that EA sold as many as 13 million copies of Star Wars Battlefront before the end of the year.

It's clear that the game has performed above expectations and this is mainly attributed to the December release of 'The Force Awakens' combined with the discount pricing set during that time.

Just checked the site's numbers and my god, it's so off (Chertz has Battlefront at 7.18 million). Yes, the numbers are only up to December 12th, but selling another 5.82 million in 2 weeks? I don't think so.

The context is different. Pachter is making an estimate, not a prediction. Also, Pacific Crest Securities estimated Battlefront sales to be around 13 million.
