I disagree. Great reviews touting "Halo is back to being the best" would do so much since 343i's past games are why lots of people are waiting for reviews.

So who's getting halo next week? I need a shooter to play online and my real life friends seems to  have fallen off a cliff.

Too far, I'll be over it by then.

Getting it day one. Normally don't give a shame about Halo. This one looks spectacular. Did a read on the past story so I'd have an idea what was going on, uh.. lulz.

Raven

Waiting for reviews first. Money is always tight around this time of the year. Don't want to feel like I wasted it.

9GB day one patch. Halo 5 File Size and Day One Update Revealed - GameSpot

Ms has got to stop this shame. Release a complete game.

Yup.

Large games are fine, but they need to use multiple discs. Halo 4 did this and it was great.

I don't think it has to do with size more than rushing to the presses to get the disks printed for launch. Because you know, MS will never delay one of their games no matter how broken and unfinished it is. Looking at you MCC.

Yeah, they're not exactly the brightest when it comes to what's best for the game and, thus, the consumer. Sony delayed two of their launch titles to try and get them right. Microsoft jammed Forza 5 and Killer Instinct out the door.

Big updates are just a part of gaming nowadays. I am more surprised when there is not a large update when I install a new title than when there isn't.

I'm probably getting the game early. I wonder if Warzone servers will be up.

Servers go up tomorrow I think.

So... Meta predictions for the game? I'm thinking 86 right now

Raven

I'm going to guess 88. The game will get points knocked off for not having the traditional multiplayer experience available at launch and we'll probably hear that the campaign was much shorter than expected.
