Low 80s. Halo 4 and mcc burned reviewers so I bet this one will get a ton less 10s at launch. On the 26th reviewers won't be sure online works and they'll be worried they're forgeting some flaw. So either give it a 9 or wait a week and be absolutely sure it deserves a perfect score.

Then there are just lots of negatives reviewers have to consider. As a whole package these things are frustrating, but individually each one could potentially be a huge personal problem for the reviewer.

• No splitscreen nor local mp of any kind
• No traditional Halo mp (warzone is huge and zaney while arena is small and lacks vehicles. No middleground)
• No theatre (it's confirmed there is no campaign theatre, but mp theatre is unknown)
• No custom emblems
• Short campaign(might be just slighty short, or might be shorter than the order 1886)
• Average graphics and a new art direction (wtf did they do to grunts!)
• All about Locke, not MC. Story in general seems odd and forces 3 people with you.
• Dozens of missing game types.
• Forge not at launch
• btb not at launch
• few maps at launch
• microtransactions

Game also has a lot of good stuff going for it too like free dlc and upgraded forge, so the positives might outweigh the negatives.

Unless the game is just horrible,  then a 70ish isn't even possible.  But I added a few high 70's just in case troll reviews bring it down.

Yeah I agree, big franchises like this get scored well no matter how good they actually are. Reviewers really aren't very good at keeping the same scale for all games
