Interesting that amazon is selling the Batman LE console for £329 and the normal edition for £279. Very good deals, only in the 40s on the rankings though

PS4 possibly sold over 24 million?
You can hear the statement at 9:18. Credit goes to GTstation on VGC for making the splendid catch.

Do you know how much the PS4 sold in the first half of 2014? If the 24 million figure is true, the PS4 has sold 5.5 million for the first half of this year.

It sold 20.2m at begging of March.
Avg. of 800-900k per month.
3 full months more half of June.
So I can see it near 24 million right now.

But until Sony release something we will never know.

Why would Sony announce a shipped number?

So far this gen that's been reserved for quarterly reports only.

While we don't know how much the PS4 sold-through for the first quarter, my estimates have total sales to be 21.3 million or 2.8 million for the quarter. It is definitely not impossible for the PS4 to sell another 2.7 million for the second quarter. After all, Bloodborne showed good legs on top of Mortal Kombat X and The Witcher III selling extremely well on the PS4.

Assuming the 24 million figure is true, that is very good numbers for the PS4 because that should still keep it ahead YOY despite not having a price drop yet. A $100 price cut will be a total bombshell.

This quarter is usually quite bad though. Sales in both USA and Japan have been pretty low

The thing is, though, is that the PS4 was down YOY in the US and Japan last quarter. However, it still managed to be slightly up YOY worldwide, suggesting that Europe, Asia/Pacific, etc. picked up the slack. Same thing might have happened for the second quarter.

Even so there's no way that Europe + ROW will lift it to 24 million. It would have to have done crazy numbers

LEGO JURASSIC WORLD ROARS TO THE TOP

22/Jun/2015
The huge success of the Jurassic World film at the box office seems to have rubbed off on Warner's Lego title as 'Lego Jurassic World' (+3%) eats up 'The Elder Scrolls Online', jumping one place to No1.

It is the first Lego No1 since 'The Lego Movie Videogame' in W7 2014. It also becomes the 7th Traveller's Tales Lego title to reach No1 since 'Lego Star Wars' kicked it all off in March 2005. The Xbox 360 version consolidates its position as the lead format for Lego Jurassic World with sales up 26%. Sales of 'The Elder Scrolls Online' drop by 71% in its second week as it falls down to No2. 'The Witcher III: Wild Hunt' (-19%) holds on to No3 ahead of 'Grand Theft Auto V' (-4%) and 'FIFA 15' (-14%) who both climb one place to No's 4 and 5 respectively. 'Payday 2: Crimewave Edition' falls from No4 to No6 with sales only down by 24%.
Two very different shooters; 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' (+8%) and 'Splatoon' (-8%) are both non-movers at No7 and No8, while a third shooter, 'Destiny' (-1%) sneaks back into the Top 10, up 2 places to No9. 'Minecraft: Xbox Edition' (-3%) rounds off the Top 10, also up 2 places, to No10. No other new releases make the Top 40 this week, although another new Warner No1 beckons with big hitter 'Batman: Arkham Knight' due for release on Tuesday.
