I am half way through season 2 of Dark, actually a little more than that.

Spoiler for Hidden:
I was using the character guide that I posted above quite a bit for the first 8 episodes, and I'm finding that I don't really need it. So that's nice.

I like weirdly found that I liked the 3 timelines at the end of season 1, and I was a little bit wary about it getting expanded further. But it's not bad. Season 1 felt kind of cozy. Not sure how to explain it.

The middle of season 2, I'm finding very cathartic. Solving a lot of mysteries.

I feel like a little bit frustrated with Ulrich's character. A few moments where he's very rash and dumb.

There was this strange moment for me. Where Egon Tiedemann is invited to live with his daughter, and he just seems so sweet. In a single instance, I felt so bad for him.

Season 2 feels slower to get through, I think because there are more 1 hour episodes, whereas Season 1 had some ~43 minute-ish episodes.

I still have a ways to go, maybe everything I've written will change.

the end of season 2 they do a thing...

season 2 was probably my least favorite season but I think it had my favorite episode. I think it's one of the next episodes for you. you'll know it by the one that follows jonas' story for a long time (for the series) without cutting to someone else.
It's a little funky how often people just leave mid conversation.

It happens so many times.

Jonas meets the Nielsen family, and they ask him like 7 questions, and then he just walks away without ever talking.

I feel like there are a bunch of things that are practically just a footnote here, that would be a much bigger deal in other shows.

Two episodes left.

Spoiler for Hidden:
One thing that sometimes feels a little comical:

There's bunch of instances where it's like "oh she lied to get you here" and then you get "ah, but he lied to get you here."

It just reminds me of the "I knew that you knew that I knew that you knew that I knew that x".

I have kind of mixed feelings about how Dark escalates everything. It's pretty clear that season 3 was well planned out. It's very cool.

But part of me also feels like it's a little silly. Like sometimes it feels like the show is trying too hard.

It kind of goes with the above, where the show is just frequently like "Adam/Claudia/Martha lied to you to get you here".
I hope it doesn't come across overly negative. I'm having a good time. These are just kind of quirks that I have with the show.

not entirely unfair. their next show 1899 escalated waaaay too soon to be interesting and thus failed.

Finished Dark.

For a semi complicated series, the ending felt very uncomplicated.

Watching Severance. It's very unique in a good way. Very interesting.

Good to hear. ;D

About a third of the way through season 3 of Game of Thrones.

And honestly kind of disinterested.

Still going to try watching through.
