I feel like it will be a surreal experience for kids to watch in 10 or 15 years.
Yeah as much as I understand the reasoning, it was a downer watching a show incorporate it. I watch tv to escape the drama of real life not to watch the same shame we experienced

I've watched 5 episodes of Attack on Titan today.

Heavy stuff.

I finished the first season of Attack on Titan.

On a side note, the series a crazy track record on IMDb. Over half the episodes have a 9 or above.

Not my favorite kind of show though.

But every once in a while, (every few years), there's a show or movie where the emotions sink into other aspects of life and that was the experience that I had here.

Emotionally I would compare this show to the Walking Dead. There's this sense of dread like bad things are going to happen out of your control. And it's not a good feeling.

Episodes with masks are one thing, but all those filmed during lockdown episodes are the absolute worst now that we're back to regular life.

So many tv shows just filmed a zoom meeting and slapped minimal editing on it.

I'm still impressed that Walmart is still selling a bootleg of Owl House on blu-ray, and it has a good rating to boot.

Actually looks like a high quality bootleg too.

I've been watching Attack on Titan pretty hard.

I'm not sure how I feel about the show overall. I feel like I tend to judge shows by emotional attachment. And I feel like I'm watching this too quickly to get overly emotionally attached to anything. If that makes sense.

I will say I'm very interested to see how things turn out. Throughout season 2, I had kind of this feeling I kept needing to see what happened next. And the last time I really had that feeling as intensely was the last season of Breaking Bad.

I feel like people would hate this for being too edgy, but I really loved this monologue.

Spoiler for Hidden:

Sometimes I feel like it like tickles my brain when people say things in a non generic way. Whether it's the emotions, or sometimes rhythm of how they say the line. I enjoyed this and I think I've watched this particular line like 10 times.

I was originally thinking I'd watch this show once and be done. But I could see myself watching it again. Especially if the ending is decent.

I kind of messed up.

There was an anime black Friday sale, and I picked like 5, they were like $8 each. Shows I've vaguely heard of. There's probably only 1 or 2 that I would have gotten if it weren't $8.

One of them is not what I thought it was, and I shouldn't have gotten it.

I'm not going to say much more than that. ::)

well I used legends truck to see you quoted me about umbrella academy.   in the end the season mostly sucked.

I used to watch anime all the time.  there was a girl back in college I would watch with but I don't watch much anymore.   basically only what is on Netflix if the mood strikes me.

last one I watch (if it even counts) was blue eye samurai.  it was very good.

So I have 140 TV shows on Plex.

And I currently have a google spreadsheet of 60 TV shows to watch out for. There is some overlap - a bunch where I have season 1 already, but I'm waiting on Season 2. Like The Boys, The Last of Us, Arcane. Some of those are going to be on that list for a long time.

It feels kind of crazy how many TV shows are out there, that I've watched in my life....

It helps that a bunch of them are short like 12 20 minute episodes.
