VizionEck VS VGChartz: which is the better forum?

User profiles are getting a full make over, but really I need to spend more time working on the game itself.

Unless someone steps up to the plate, the new profiles won't be happening for a few weeks.




Also a game database would be pretty easy to add if we allowed users to submit titles. If some one else has the drive to make it, I'd have no problem helping them out.

Priority should be for the game - in no way am I trying to rush the forum development :O.

Sorry if my earlier post looked like I was forcing to do it now :x. I understand things like this take time since I've maintained forums in the past as well......dem memories ~.~.

The past week or so I've just noticed I've got hardly anything done on the game, so just the other day I decided to postpone all forum work for a bit.

If you caught me a week ago, I'd have had the forums and game database up within a day lol.

we have features but many are too "code" heavy.  i know it isn't hard but it is harder than it needs to be.  the new layout seems to fix most of that though.

vghartz wins on community.  it is nice we are less toxic but we sorely lack on activity.

vgchatz may have out dated tech but as a user i don't see it.  the presentation is nicer and i notice that more. 

i do like it here though.  i just wish we had more and more active users.

And with user activity, that's the other defining fix of 2.0. Who needs users when you've got bots!

I feel that much of Chartz's activity is dependent on threads that have controversial titles. Another problem I have is the amount of toxicity and s***posting, which led to me becoming uninterested in Chartz anymore and even drove out my favorite user, Tachikoma.

What I like about here is that the quality of discussion is way higher. Even when people disagree, they do it respectfully. Only problem I have with Vizioneck is the lack of activity, but I believe that can be solved with time. I have had more enjoyment commenting here and on GAF than on Chartz.
