VizionEck VS VGChartz: which is the better forum?

VizionEck is a new forum. At just four months old, it has over 30,000 posts. The tech is modern and advanced. Sleek multiquote options, automatic quote tree culling, advanced quote notifications, no spambots or alt accounts, etc. The list of software features goes on and on. http://vizioneck.com/forum

On the other side of the ring, we have VGChartz. We're over 8 years old and have a huge post count too. Our 95,000 members are responsible for 6,635,195 posts and counting. We also have a very awesome game database and user walls, allowing our profile pages to be super social. The tech is a bit dated, but it gets the job done. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com

I like more here because I don't need to correct all spin made by some MS fans.

It's better on many fronts, and about equal on others. Except for all the duplicate threads that some users create on both places... That, I find annoying. Reeks of attention seeking and self importance to me. But I may just be tired.







Also, I wish there was a function when you post a comment that would let you highlight a part of what you typed and turn it into a link in a way that's as simple as on VGC...

We have an advanced editor that works almost exactly like vgchartz, but some of the buttons are broken with it currently. Click the far right button to turn it on/toggle it.

It's in the cards to get it spiced up.

In terms of Sales data (l0l 2 srs): VGChartz

If it wasnt for the DB I wouldnt of joined VGChartz otherwise there's nothing much worth mentioning on VGChartz. I've found better alternatives that keep updating so I'm good on that detail - along with that GAF provides me enough sales threads if I ever start caring about the financials of a company (which would be l0l worthy).

The DB thing in VGC was really cool until they stooped to care... I like to add and rate the games with my scores but now the new games didn't even show.

Oh I'm not saying as those are permanent issues - just saying that is what I see on both sides.

I dont mean "threads" when it comes to the sales data - I mean actual programs or set ups where you can see different visual charts and stuff.

In terms of user interface (I know it probably wont happen because of the forum code limitations) but I found the User Profiles on VGChartz to be better than the user profile interface here :O but thats just my opinion ;o.

Yep I have like about 100+ so games that I own but I cant even add them - so the main reason why I was on VGChartz is pretty much gone so ya . Shame that they dropped it for something that is quite inconvenient and inferior.

User profiles will definitely be updated.  Pretty sure that's on Legend's list.
