No h5 pr sucks.

Shocking that we don't even have a spin piece.

So where did Ars get those X1 numbers? Maybe they should stop trying to pull out numbers where there are none

Rofl, some people realize that the guessed ~24.5m includes both 360 and One, instead think the Xbox One has sold 20-21m.

Avoid Kyle Orland's articles. They reek of battleship.

So halo 5 did like 25k more than Titanfall in the UK, a year and a half later and probably over 1m user base increase

I'm sure people were saying it would do a minimum of 250k in UK too

QuoteI see people using true achievements to track game sales. Guy on gaf used TA to estimate halo 5 at 3 million. How does that work

Can anyone answer the question?

And is 3 million possible?

Yes... it is possible 3 million.

But the gamescore data is battleship because most people didn't register in gamescore sites.

No different than looking at a ww leaderboard.

Aaron Greenberg:

"If you're buying a console for games, you're buying an Xbox. Xbox is the platform with the most games, the most exclusives, and probably the most anticipated game of the year in Halo 5. If you're a fan of Halo, if you've ever played Halo, you know how special Halo 5 is. If you never have, the rich story with Locke and Chief and what's been created — I can tell you, I've played through the entire campaign. It's the greatest Halo ever made. It's stunning. It's worth the investment. That game alone is worth the investment."

Sure he was asked for a sales pitch, but seriously why does that dude sound so arrogant?

because he flat out lies? xbox doesnt have the most games, doesnt have the most exclusives and doesnt have the most anticipated game of the year. that goes to fallout 4. and halo 5 isnt the greatest halo ever made, not even the hardcore fanboys say that.

Because he's a fanboy.  He's the official Microsoft version of Tim dog.  The dude does more harm then good and should get in trouble for false promotion and advertising.  It's a fact that xbox doesn't have the most games or the most exclusives.  If we go by reviews they're not the best rated either.

People in his position should be held to some form of accountability.  Is nadela happy to have a liar like him publicly representing part of his company?  It seems so.

Since MS has no problem with now proclaiming that they not only have the greatest lineup in Xbox history (which is a fine thing to say, it's their console after all and if they see this as their best lineup yet then so be it) but also in industry history, I'd say that MS doesn't have a problem with this misrepresentation of the situation. The Halo 5 marketing seems to be pointing to something like that as well.

It's weird, yesterday I was thinking of making a post about how I feel MS is stepping out of the sales race and is instead concentrating on doing well for themselves, which I find commendable, and today I see this.

I think this gives a good idea on how big the difference between players and actual sales can be.

Green burger doesn't sound arrogant, he sounds desperate

This could be terribly wrong but IF, and I repeat IF, the WW attach ratio of Halo 5 is as bad as in the UK, it struggled to reach 1.5M FW even including digital. Again, If.
