#19 PS4 Uncharted (-4)
#25 XBO Halo LE (+1)
#27 PS4 SW LE (-1)
#43 PS4 TLOU (+3)
#44 PS4 COD (-5)
#54 PS4 Destiny (+6)
#84 XBO Gears (-10)
#97 PS4 Star Wars (new)

Bolded doesn't count towards October NPD!

I think that is the final chart for October, big update for PS4 there. Does that confirm a PS4 victory? To rub salt in Xb1's wounds the normal Star Wars bundle just made it on the chart too

I can say that the PS4 won outright if we only count October sales and preorders. I am not confident to call either way if we were to include the Halo 5 bundle preorders from September and August. The bundle charted in the Top 100 in August, but failed to do that in September. Had it been the other way around, I would say the XBO won October because September is the more active month.

We do have some clue from Abdiel's assessments and the PS4 seemed to have outsold the XBO in Best Buy. The question is if the trend is the same or similar in other retailers. From personal observations, the PS4 has consistently led the XBO in the bestsellers lists in Walmart, Target, and Gamestop, even around the Halo 5 launch. However, I have not looked at the lists in August and September, so I don't have a general idea of how much the Halo 5 bundle preordered in those months.

Yeah Abdiel gives me confidence in a PS4 victory. I know this is very anecdotal but a Gamestop employee on GAF said PS4 had been flying off the shelves all month since the price cut. I still would not be surprised if XB1 won but I think a PS4 win is more likely

Either way, it's going to be very close and that will be a "loss" for the XB1 because a lot of people, including me, thought that Halo 5 would allow the XB1 to easily run away with the victory. And then, Sony announced the price cut way earlier than I have anticipated.

Haha I meant which games have moved up to push the systems down.

My target had slim pickings for Halo and xbo. Did great locally, but my area, leans more towards XBO.

Yeah I thought you probably meant that but I couldn't be bothered looking ;D ;D

The COD bundle is now on top! I think PS4 is going to get a huge bump this week. Possibly even bigger than XB1's Halo bump, which would be very impressive

I think that's for sure. Cod will boost ps4 globally. Halo is mostly US

Yup my mind has settled.

I'm predicting a ps4 win for october npd.

I look forward to the MS spin. "fastest selling console since halo 5 launched" or some shame

The XB1 might have led in software sales in October, but of course, people pay more attention to the hardware sales.

Trust me. The goalposts will be moved.

Halo is infinitely times more popular on xbox one than on any other platform!

Hey guys... what if MS win? Will they be shouting it from the rooftops as loud and for as long as possible?

Raven

The normal Battlefront bundle is now ahead of the Halo 5 bundle. It's in the top 40 now.

I'm looking forwards to MS's PR. It is always entertaining.
