Enjoying Arkham Knight so far. Batmobile fight sections are a tad bit annoying because it's extremely repetitive, but the actual driving is pretty fun. A lot of the environment is destructible so it never feels like you have to stop all the time cause you're bumping into things.

Really enjoying the imaginary sections with that one character...Not gonna say cause might be a spoiler I guess.
Legend made me remove this. Everybody riot.

I don't know why but I just realized something about next year. People have been saying that it doesn't matter if Sony push their games out of the holiday season and sure enough, they don't seem to have suffered for it up to this point, next year imo will be entirely different.

If they don't have any tentpole exclusives coming out holiday 2017, then they could really suffer for it considering that that will not only be the first holiday season of the NX as well as the Scorpio, both of which could turn into real, dangerous competition. You can't compete with that with another season of "hey buy our console for this multiplat", especially since the claim of having the best versions of multiplats will be void by that time. I think they'll need at least 2 big marquee titles in Q4 2017 to show people why the PS4 is a good option for them, like God of War or Spiderman for instance, ideally even more. If they can drown people in good exclusive titles in the second half of the year (which at least potentially they should be able to with Detroit, Dreams, Gran Turismo, Days Gone, God of War and Spiderman probably all aiming at a 2017 release window at the moment) they should be golden, so I really hope for Sonys sake that they'll sit down on their asses for once and work on not delaying half of their shame again.
you're wrong.

someone who doesn't buy a system for 4+ years and then buys isn't buying for any game in particular.  they are buying for the entire library and probably buying those for cheap/used.  so long as sony keeps pumping out a good amount af good titles every 12 months it doesn't really matter which month they realsed in.

I don't necessarily disagree but when both Nintendo and especiallly Microsoft are going to be bringing their A game next year, Sony can't just be sitting there with "Hey we got the COD maps early guys" and nothing else again (this is an exaggeration of course), they have to have something new and hot to be part of the conversation.

i think it is too eary to decide that either is bringing their A game.

NX could be a distater based on what i'm seeing.  a march release could mean a dead console by september. PR is a baby.

MS will have forza (again) and what else?  too early for halo i think.  so crackdown?  since ms said all games will support the original xbox and scorpio won't have any exclusives it lauch will be as subdued as the ps4 pro and the games won't be technical master pieces either.  right now the fanboys are expecting a next gen machine.  what they'll get is an xbox with 4 k resolution. they can rag on checkerboarding all they want but that won't distinguish scorpio from the pro.

Yeah xbox will have a few of halo wars 2, crackdown,  scalebound and forza.  Possibly all of them.

Basically these games will do fudge all for Xbox next holiday.  Gears this year and halo last year were better line ups.

The only thing that does it for Xbox now is a big price cut.

I don't know, Forza 15 is pretty compelling.

I think in terms of marketing it's pretty much guaranteed that at least MS will bring their A game next holiday season. And depending on the price of the Scorpio MS can easily take all the spotlight on itself, if Sony doesn't bring the software. Without a strong holiday lineup what is going to pull people towards a PS4 then? I of course know that the already released games don't disappear, but gamers, especially on console, always look at what's new and shiny before they check out the older stuff.

VR will be big by then. And shiny

Who knows. If everything works out it might be. The whole thing could also still just be very niche by then.

you are just being a debbie downer now.

scorpio cannot take the spotlight without an exclusive which so far ms has said it will have none of.  welcome to the wonderful world of iterative console,.. slow and steady wins the race.  the hardware is no longer the selling point.

Why not? Sure seemed to work pretty dang well for the PS4.

I just hooked up my PS3 after a long time off. I usually don't keep consoles or games after I move on but I've got so many plus games I kept it.
Holy cow, it's frustrating slow to use compared to ps4.
Is this where I talk favorably about myself?

It will have a good bit of spotlight once it's out, but I was talking about the standard PS4, that had the spotlight for the firsf half of the gen, while for a long time not having exclusives that people cared about either. Having the best version of multiplats was enough for that.

The store load time is horrendous.
