Although I do understand the "lying" fears though. The post you were referring to was about different HDR specs right? Where people think PS4 will only support a low quality version?

The post was in response to a thread about Capcom announcing the RE7 would have HDR on Xbox One S while not (yet, possibly because, like I said Sony surprised devs with that announcement) mentioning that the standard PS4 would get the same feature, the thread was on r/xboxone so naturally people started calling Sony liars, because the same press release said something about RE7 being 4K on PS4 Pro (because apparently it's Sonys job to police how other publishers choose to word these things), and that the whole HDR on standard PS4s thing was basically a lie as well, because of HDMI and because the PS4 doesn't upscale to 4K (not like 4K TVs do that, right?).

Listen I can see why people might be skeptical and might want to know how this whole thing even works, but until we actually get some HDR content it's freaking shaming to call this whole thing a lie based on, in that persons case, an apparently very lacking technical understanding. We don't really have any info on how this whole thing works on PS4 so people are basically just speculating at this point.

I wanna believe that gamers simply want to enjoy games regardless of platform rivalries, I'm constantly being proven that that doesn't seem to work though.

IMO it's not that bad. On the whole it feels more like friendly competition with the true crazies being few and far between.

Sure I agree, I think the flames were stoked quite a bit in the last couple weeks which is why I've seen some pretty bad instances recently.

Anyway, completed journey today. Nice and short. Very enjoyable. I'm not big into that type of game but I'd give it an 8.5/10. That's a good score considering I wasn't in the mood for that type of game at all.

Glad it was given free with ps plus. I never would have played it otherwise. So thanks Sony!

I feel that the Xbox subreddit has a bunch of permabanned rejects from Chartz, GAF, and other video game forums and the subreddit has basically become a safe space for them.

Some Xbox fans are okay, though. Jason and Welfare are two Xbox fans that I can name who respect other people's opinions and stay classy if their predictions are wrong.

Morbid curiousity man. But quite often I actually check out threads on there and see the top comments basically saying things that I'm feeling as well. In some occasion they turn really freaking ugly however, it's kinda scary. But I've gotten over 300 comment Karma from calling out a couple BS posts in regards to Playstation on r/xboxone so it's not like they are 100% blinded fanboys.

Overall, the new PlayStation 4 gets the job done but doesn't offer any significant improvements over its predecessor. It's not much smaller or well ventilated, and its lack of an optical audio-out port more or less forces new PlayStation 4 buyers who want to play with their high-end audio equipment to either hunt down an original unit or wait for the PS4 Pro and spend the extra money if they want to make use of high-end headphones. There are definitely no big reasons to trade in your existing PS4 for this one, unless you're very worried about the noise generated by the disc drive. 8/10
