hilarious seeing how fast duskbloods went from "holy shame this is a massive system seller" to "hard pass".

80$ for a game is absurd

Also the prices for everything is just..... Seems to high

Nintendo is really pushing it when it comes to prices aren't they

yes.

either nintendo is going to be hella profitable or switch 2 is going to have a huge decrease in customers.

reading era looks like a high % of people are pissed.

for me personally:
1. i won't buy anything on switch that is not exclusive.  i'll buy all 3rd party on playstation.

2. i won't buy unless it's an evergreen title for me.  aka a game like mario kart will be replayed a lot for a long period of time.  i'll end up buying that even at the completely absurd $80.   but single player once and done games like zelda and metroid,.. i'm just going to rent those from the library.  maybe i'll buy them on deep discount.  i picked up mario + rabbids for like $10 on sale.  i'm cool with that.   but if metroid 4 costs $80 and never goes on sale i'm just going to rent it.  i'll skip the smaller releases entirely.  i have waaay too many games to give a crud if i skip the lesser nintendo games.

The price of the console isn't a huge deal. But when you consider than Nintendo never drops it's prices for it's games, doesnt give "free games" with it's subscription (no I don't count 30 year old games), accessories are so expensive. The whole investment is just insane.

I'd spend easily over the double the amount I spend during a gen with PS with a lot less games played

yeah, exactly.

i'm curious to see how bad the price increase for nintendo online is going to be.   i suppose i'd pay $20 a year to play mario kart online but i'm not playing $60 a year for that. i really, really, really, really don't get a F about a handful of 30 year old games that were terrible when they were new.

so i kind of missed it during the stream due to work but i just watched the trailer to "welcome tour".   holy hell nintendo expects me to buy that?!?   they should pay me 200 nintendo coins to play that...

Yeah even as a free game it looked bad

Cliffnotes?

I thought it looked fine for switch, which is bad. Switch is so old and was already so underpowered at launch. Switch 2 should be blowing it out of the water, not looking like a switch pro.

The fromsoft game looked especially bad. The game looked so so so much worse than what I remember bloodborne looking like. Could just be time fading out the PS4 jaggedness, but that game looked like a mobile game most of the time.

So some games are literally designed to not be on the game card. The game card is exclusively just a key.

Really silly, but at the same time it's better to know this than to have devs do this themselves without a label.
