Halo splitscreen co-op RIP 2001-2015 - NeoGAF

QuoteAfter eight games that feature local Campaign co-op the mode has apparently been scrapped for Halo 5.
QuoteHowever, Halo 5, unlike previous series entries, won't support split-screen co-op.

I have not played a SINGLE Halo campaign without local co-op.

My only option is to buy two xbones and two copies of the game, and then use my TV's splitscreen feature to combine the two inputs. VizionEck better make me rich hahahahahaha.......

...I'm going to have to play halo alone :(

Then you'll have two off season pappers weights.  :o

I never really gotten into Halo, but the few times I have played it, I did splitscreen co-op with my friends and it was fun.

uhh, what is online MP?

Uhh, I don't really know what you're asking. Here are some guess answers.

  • Online MP is online multiplayer, a way to play with gamers through the power of the internet.
  • Halo 5 has 4 person online co-op for the campaign. In fact it's integral to the story now, unlike previous games where a second player magically popped into existence.
  • Halo 5 has 2 person local splitscreen for multiplayer.
  • We don't know how many players are in multiplayer matches.

Playing a online game verse someone? Sure, I get that.

Playing a online sim/sandbox with someone? Sure, I get that too.

However I don't understand the fun in playing co-op with them. It's practically the same as playing with AI co-op. You can just talk to them.

With couch co-op you can actually look over at your friends, and just have a fun ol time.
