Show pretty much what I figured they'd do. Skipping E3 and showing up at Gamescom instead.

So we know that Quantum Break won't be shown. Halo 5 will be and Plants vs Zombies will be.

And Tomb Raider is confirmed.

So...

Forza Motorsport 6 - September 18th

Halo 5: Guardians - October 27th

Rise of the Tomb Raider - November 13th

I balked at ROTR's release date. I feel that it's going to be eaten alive by the other AAA 3rd party games... :(

At least Forza 6's release date is perfect.

Looks fine and dandy. I should have completed Halo by the time Rise comes out, so nice!

I was thinking about that last night. Tomb Raider isn't something the typical Xbox gamer goes for. With Halo 5 coming out less than a month earlier, Forza 6 a couple months before, and with other games like Call of Duty, Battlefront, Metal Gear Solid, and Assassin's Creed releasing between September and November.... ouch. I really can't see RotTR selling well, relatively speaking, this holiday season.

I don't see Rise of the Tomb Raider selling well period.  Square's financials are going to be fun in 2016.

I dunno. FF14 is probably carrying them and the expansion is releasing this month which will probably increase interest in the game.

It makes me wonder what is going through Square's mind right now. Kagari is right in that Square is screwed. The company didn't expect Uncharted 4's delay which puts the PS4 ROTR's spring release in an awkward situation. It also looks like Square did not expect this holiday season to be super packed. It would be smart to delay XBO ROTR to January/February 2016 and PS4 ROTR to June 2016, but I guess that is not what Microsoft wants...

RotTR should sell great. It's basically exclusive and is a very different game than Halo 5, or anything else coming this holiday that we know of.

2 mil+ on Xbox One
