Yeah cuphead looks great.

Didn't think their show itself was great though. Their only big surprise was BC, and that's really not worth getting excited about.

Cuphead was easily my most favorite indie shown in E3. It looked like a cartoon from the early 1900s!

The Halo 5 CE edition comes with a steel book case!!!...

But it also only comes with a digital download code...

In somewhat related news, Halo 5 has a dynamic resolution similar to what Wolfenstein, Killzone:Mercenary, and Dead Rising (originally) used. Means the game will rarely if ever drop a frame from 60fps, but during intense action things might get slightly blurry.

According to GAF, Halo 5 is running at dynamic resolution. Looks like 343i is prioritizing framerate over resolution, which I'm not opposed to.

I posted that right before you haha.

I dislike the push for 60fps. A locked 30 is good enough for practically every game genre.

I don't mind a locked 30. Perhaps 343i should do what ND is doing: 30fps for singleplayer, 60fps for multiplayer.

Yeah that'd be nice.

Plus the Halo 5 mp probably already sticks to 1080p most of the time.

Welp, we can forget about Phantom Dust for quite a while... You can hear it at 13:45 here. (As of this post, the site is down).

How is it possible for the xbox one to emulate xbox 360? Wasn't it once deemed impossible?

It's possible because Microsoft is modifying the game code in advance, and cause it was only hard not impossible.

PS3 bc on ps4 isn't even impossible.

Eurogamer posted a comparision of old Gears and new Gears.

They fixed the crushed black in the old version for 360... amazing.

They're more or less recompiling each game with a recompiler.  Then tweaking the recompiled to make sure the game works well enough.  Kinda like what Bleem did with their emulator on Dreamcast.  It's why Bleem was doing one game at a time.  Sony could do something similar but it's not worth it at this time.
