I went into the hunter's dream last night from the forest close to the witch but now when I load it again I am in the dream but can't spawn there. Wtf

is it no longer there? (are you checking the second grave stone?)  or when you choose it will it not let you go?(which means there is an encounter where the lamp is)

OH LOL. Didn't realize there was a second gravestone. Oh, well. I found a twin shard and leveled up on my way back

Have you beaten the witch? After you beat the witch you can find the tool to equip runes in the room behind the one you fight the witch in. With that tool you can then equipe the runes at the big table in the house in the hunters dream (not the one where you level up your weapons.)

posted while making response lol  you need a workshop tool, to use the alter in the house near where you upgrade weapons.  you get it right after the witch
