The only game company to profit a billion dollars annually is Activsion.  They do this via Call of Duty + WoW subscriptions.  That kind of profits will never happen for anyone else bar games get up to 100 dollars per game.  This is why I don't think MS will ever make 10 billion back.  I'm also sure they're gonna burn through a few more billions really soon.

Never is a long time. Who can even imagine the industry 20 years from now?

I wouldn't predict them to make it back since I see Xbox One being potentially their last gen, but if they do stick around breaking even seems possible long term.

they still haven't made the OG box losses back.
