Daaamnnnnnn

Gonna flop?

Or are people gonna love it and it becomes a cult classic?

this close to GTA and a million other games,.. I think reviews could kill this.

maybe word of mouth can save it if the game is actually good and reviews are unfairly targeting it due to physical disc drama.

read through a few reviews.

some of the worst scores are coming from the biggest names in game reviews.   the best scores from sites I never heard of.

seems to me the theme of the bad scores is "linear game design" and "not innovative, genre redefining"

they just sound jaded to me. not day-1 or anything but I'm still in down the road.

The review i watched was way worse than just linear game design. It's that it's bad linear game design.

Also I had no clue this game was linear till yesterday ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I knew it was somewhat linear but figured it was still fairly open. Insomniac isn't a linear game dev. At least for a while. This should have been open world like spider man/batman.

It being linear shouldn't be an auto reduction in scores. That's just dumb. Especially if you say it's still decently solid.

Idk I'm excited to play it though

QTEs are not failable. Combat is overly simple, button masher stuff.

Some weird design decisions like scent lines and guiding systems in a linear game.

Lots of weird stuff, like there is a QTE auto complete, but this apparently just removes the slow down mechanic during QTE's, and the QTEs will auto complete successfully no matter what.

Apparently the trail setting in accessibility just adds another green direction:

Some of this feels like they just used the open world mechanics, and didn't account for it being a linear game.
Some of this is just super bizarre.

Not that it really matters, but the accessibility menu is kind of bad.
