i think this is pretty much the SoP sony needed.  pretty good showing of games.  none of them are live service games.  most of these are coming out pretty soon.  no PC port announcements.  basically a lot of people want/expect from sony and none of the stuff pissing people off.

the only thing missing for me personally is Saros coop mode.

I guess I need to recalibrate and compare it to recent Sops, cause I thought it wasn't very good.

Until Dawn 2 really hyped me though.

It was good in some respects.

But it feels disappointing that this was all they had to show.

I feel like Sony should be able to do two or so shows like this a year. Instead it feels like it's been a few years.

This was the best they've had in years, no contest. Obviously not a high bar to clear. But yeah they should be able to do this and more every year. They gotta get far out of the rut the garbage live service shame got them into

Nah I rewatched GoW gameplay. Looks fudgy hype. Ya'll crazy

Wolverine and God of War looked spectacular. UD2 sadly does nothing for me.

The rest of the show was solid but lots of games which we've seen before which needed dating like Control, Onimusha etc but still good list of games.

It was lacking big 3rd party reveals like we got last SOP. Also where the heck is Kena 2. Maybe at SGF.

IG is probably for Sept 2026 SOP. I feel like because of how poorly they have managed studios and the GAAS effect we won't really see a plethora of new announcements till 2027/2028 depending on when the PS6 is announced.

I think Sony is aware they have done some damage to their rep with the GAAS misstep and people are not ready for PS6 like we were with PS5 and they really need the next single player games to hit. Thankfully Wolverine, God of War and IG is a pretty strong selection to end the gen with. They need to be very careful how they show the GAAS titles though. They were smart not showing Break in here.

Not that a pizza company matters, but it's interesting a rando corpo is getting in on this.

I just wish they gave us a reason to care about Faye. They just put this generic character on screen and called it a day. Such a weird way to reveal this game imo.

From what I've been seeing on socials a lot of people are very interested in Faye's story.  She seems far from generic at this point. 


Also David Jaffe back on his battleship calling this game out.  Dude is just salty he had nothing to do with the franchise since GoW 1
