We watch a lot of movies that are just kinda good.
It's not specifically about the movie being old or not, it's about the movie being a random watch.

Maybe just cause I have a warped mindset of work work work, but it's about what I get out of the movie by watching it. For example I watched the old Solaris movie a few weeks ago, it wasn't even kinda good, but it was interesting. Gave me stuff to think about, new ideas.

I generally go into movies knowing very little about them. Pretty much just the genre, and whether it seemed like people liked it (which I tend to look at either conversations, IMDb, Metacritic, Rotten Tomatoes). I like to be surprised and I don't generally have any interest in having discussions about movies that I might not watch.

A lot of people talk very fondly of the Superman movie, I'm generally a fan of DC, and on IMDb, it has a 7.4, 88% on rotten tomatoes, 82 on Metacritic - so why wouldn't I watch it? It's an absolute favorite for a lot of people.

Maybe I would appreciate it more, if I rewatched it (not that I plan to do that anytime soon.)

Wifey and I are watching the movie Before Sunrise.

Romance movie, and it's very interesting.

I feel like this is exactly the kind of thing, that I wouldn't have been able to watch, if I weren't buying movies on disc.

Well that's a shock. It didn't look bad but I certainly didn't expect it to be good.

Oh... well hopefully it can pull a Naked Gun remake.
