I ordered Succession and Mad Men.

Succession went on a decent sale.

Mad Men seems to be running out of print, and is like $250+ on Amazon. Walmart has it for $100 - and seems to be sold by Walmart, so hopefully a legitimate copy.

Legend

wow that's expensive!

Common for tv shows to go for that much?

kitler53

yeeash.   mad men was good but not that good.

I haven't really seen many that are that expensive. The new Seinfeld 4K set is $215 on Amazon.

I'm aware of a few sold out that are really pricey. Like season 3 of Better Call Saul is randomly ~3x as expensive as all of the other seasons.

I think most TV shows are pretty reasonable. Even ~$100 would be one of the most expensive ones I've gotten.

Speaking of expensive shows.
3rd Rock from the Sun

There's only one Amazon listing and they're trying to get $240 for the complete series of 3rd Rock from the Sun.

I had bought this set for less than $20.   ::)

I'm not sure if I'm going to do it, but I feel like it would be cool to start collecting the Looney Tunes shows/support Warner Archive putting out animation like this.

Most expensive TV shows I've gotten:

Monk: 8 x $30/season = $240 spent over 8 months.  (Childhood favorite of mine, I used to watch it like every other year)
Attack on Titan: 6 sets x $35 = $210
Better Call Saul: 6 sets x $25 = $150
Rick and Morty: 4 sets => $116
Spy x Family: 3 sets => $110
Mad Men: $100
Inuyasha: 6 sets x $15 = $90
Psych: $83
Columbo: $60
Breaking Bad: $60
The Sopranos: $60
The Wire: $55

Most shows I've purchased for less than that.

3 really expensive shows I'd like to get at some point:

- Dragon Ball Z - this one is frustrating because there are cheap sets, but they're in the wrong aspect ratio. They cut off parts of people's bodies in order to fill the screen.  The sets with the correct aspect ratio are limited edition or you have to import from the UK. Will probably end up spending more on this than I did with Monk even.

- Seinfeld 4k - another one where this is the only high def set with the correct aspect ratio. It sounds like it's a very good set. Not eager to get this set. Current price is $185 on gruv with the coupon.

- House M.D. blu-ray - I could currently get it for about $90, but that feels a little steep for a show I'm mostly just looking to upgrade.

With a few exceptions, almost everything I've watched in the past ~3 years has been stuff that I've bought.

Severance has been blowing up lately. Anyone watching?
