That wasn't cheating in Outer Wilds. Or at least that clip looks exactly like normal gameplay.

Animal well however is pretty strong evidence. That puzzle took a while for the community to solve and yet he's jumping to the right conclusions with suspiciously high accuracy.

The explanation I read for Outer Wilds:

There is no direct hint in the game that you have to teleport to get to the ash twin project. The closest the game gets to telling you that is that the ash twin project was created with the shell of a certain material. But Pirate never makes the observation that the ash twin project is something that you must teleport to get into. He immediately returns to a teleporter that he accidentally stumbles on once before and completely anticipates it will take him to the ash twin project (but it's actually the "broken" teleporter across from it). And without any logical reasoning just goes to the correct teleporter and waits and then performs the most basic bad stuff acting I've ever seen like it was an "aha" moment. If you've played the game it's just too obvious.

Won't spoil it for you but at least jumping around that section of gameplay in the og video, everything looked incredibly normal. I've watched a lot of outer wilds playthroughs. For example he makes a specific mistake that almost everyone makes, one that he wouldn't make if he knew what to do.

Only way you could show it was fake would be if you had the time to go through the entire video and see specifically which things he had encountered before that. The game is non linear and there are a ton of different ways to make progress.



But the animal well video sure is sketchy so I don't doubt he's at least skimmed some guides and isn't really playing blind.

Well I do like watching these playthroughs, but the whole point is to see how real people reacted to stuff.

I like finding random youtubers with just a handful of views. Way more likely to not be acting for the camera.

not really.   i played for the first 3 seasons but in season 4 you could already seen they were going to kill this off.  the seasonal content was cut in half and i didn't feel like paying for a full price season pass to get half of much content.    season 5 being the last is in no way surprising.  

still, i bought some in-game currency a long time ago and earned some in game currency along the way.   i guess in season 5 there is no reason not to blow it all since there will never be anything else to use it on.
