I just looked up a trophy guide and it would seem there are 18 levels/chapters.

Psychonauts 2 works for me. Free on gamepass and I feel like it's a game with some significance.

how many hours would you say that is? a time to beat things said 15-20 hours so I'd guess you played for about 4 hours to get to chapter 4?

@all - is that too much/little for a week's assignment?

Yeah i'm guessing 3-4 hours. Oddly the time played it's showing me on PS5 is only at 1 hour, but I know I definitely played more than that to get to chapter 4. There was one main hub area I explored a bit for at least 30 minutes to an hour

okay, so are we in agreement to play psychonauts 2 as our first game?

I'm proposing 4 chapters per week. based on the walkthough i looked up the assignments should look as such. I'm not sure how sensitive you all are to spoilers so i'm going to put the assignments into spoiler tags for now but i would say the point of the club is open discussion about the game so largely this won't be a place to hang out if you are sensitive to spoilers.

Assignment 1: Due Monday January 13

well the poll was pretty conclusive. no one wants to play pschonauts...

1. i guess we need to pick a new game.

2. i'm likely to play this weeks assignment anyways. who knows,.. maybe this is the week it gets good. either way we're not going to pick a new game and then get to playing it in time to make any assignments for the week.

3. how would we feel with assignments being due on friday? i noticed legend played over the weekend at least that one week and no one really posts here over the weekend. i'm guessing disccussion may be more likely if the assignment is due on friday?

...maybe discussion would be more lively if we just enjoyed the game more.

i quoted myself to remind you all variuous games being considered before pychonauts was picked.

I want to put in my 2cent towards TloU2:
- as a linear game weekly assignments will be easy
- as a story driven game i feel like that gives us some pretty obvious stuff to talk about
- i really f'ing need to play this game before season 2 airs and the entire game is spoiled for me.

i guess what i'm saying is i'm downloading it this week regardless of book club but if you guys wanted to make it the book club thing that would help me play it. i hate horror as much as i love ND so i've always been both hot and cold on the franchise.

I'd play TLOU 2 again. I have yet to try it on the Pro so i'd do it again for this.

I've played TLOU Part 2 once before, but I wouldn't mind a reason to play it again.
