peaked yesterday at 255k.

as you can imagine the chart is a bit like a sine wave cresting in the evening hours for n. america.

so if you compare this moment today to the same time yesterday it's 154k vs 130k so its on track to beat yesterday's peak.   probably around 300k tonight.

I have a feeling this weekend could be the peak peak.  it won't go up forever and I think most game reach their top in the first couple of weeks.

if not this weekend than next I suppose.   this does seem to be pushed by word of mouth right now so a late peak isn't unfeasible.

Matchmaking is their priority.

A lot of this is just part of the game stuff.

From what I understand, they have a number of planets that are unlocked at any time. When a planet gets liberated, a new one gets unlocked.

Topping Destiny would be crazy. If it has ok longevity, this will be a huge franchise going forward.

maybe it will maybe it won't.

the game as-is is a bit of a "one trick pony".  for now i think that's fine because it's a hell of an awesome pony.  long term though they need to have some better variety to hold people's attention.   they already teased mechs coming soon.  i'm certain we'll see at least 2 more enemy races get introduced.   hopefully they planned for other things as well.

Anyway the game is definitely passing Halo Infinite tonight. It's still so cool how successful it is.
