Rebel Moon is kinda ok. Bad pacing but some cool designs. Think Valerian level quality.

I thought it was based off an anime but I guess it's original. Nice.

And I love that part 2 is just in April. I wish more movies with 2 parts could be so close together.

Worth watching? I dno, reviewers love shitting on Zack Snyder. Maybe wait for director's cut? 8)

I watched The Batman a couple days ago.

I feel like I didn't like the cast as much as the Nolan Batman movies. The movie was pretty solid though.

Yeah worth watching. It has plenty of issues but I enjoyed it more than The Creator and Ant Man 3.

I quite liked Rebel Moon. The cinematography is pretty great. Snyder sure does love his slow mo shots though. Little overkill. No way in hell is the film as bad as critics say. But it is quite the trend to shame on his movies so not surprising

My friends asked me what I think of "The Batman" and I always answer "It's Batman". When my cousin asked he was like "I understand". Closest thing I've seen to Batman since The Animated Series.

I was watching the tail end of Justice League a few nights ago. I'm still blown away by it. A shame people complain about his work the way they do. Like, we're never going to see super heroes move the way he's shown us. I remember when I watched his cut the first time and it got to the scene where Wonder Woman was fighting the bank robbers. My thoughts were "This is Wonder Woman. If she was real, this is how she'd be." We'll never get that again.

In addition to being more focused on director's work, I've also been paying more attention to "boutique labels" like Criterion.

Legend

That's way more than me. I like smaller publishers like A24 and Blumhouse but I've never heard of criterion.

I finished the first Godfather.

I feel like it is a movie I might appreciate more with a couple rewatches.

The movie is a little hard to follow for a few reasons:

Spoiler for Hidden:
There are like 30 named characters. They are also mostly names I am not familiar with. On top of that, a lot of the names come in and out.

There are a number of time skips, where it's not even clear that there's been a time skip.
Overall, it isn't my favorite movie. But I can clearly see the quality there. But I think I'll appreciate it more in the future.

Going to wait on watching the Indiana Jones 5 movie. Been wanting to get the 4 movies in 4k sometime this year. Whenever it goes on a good sale.

Also doing the same thing for Star Wars. I got the 8th movie for free on 4k, and got the 9th movie pretty cheaply. Going to buy more of the rest if they hit ~$10.

Movie plans for this year:
Star Wars 1-7 4K
Indiana Jones 4K
Suzume blu-ray (March 12th)
Titan AE

TV shows:
The Wire
Phineas and Ferb
Star vs the Forces of Evil
Would like to get more shows my kids are interested anyways.
Interested in the blu-rays for Monk, Psych and Columbo. I think they deserve better than standard definition...

Legend

I liked Titan AE a lot as a kid. It just felt so cool and mature lol.

I have no idea if I'd like it if I watched it today.

There are a few movies from my childhood that I'm curious about, that are probably terrible.

We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story
Secret of Nimh.
Quest For Camelot.
