I couldn't imagine a worse reveal video lol.

Putting the eject button by the slot is nice, and I like the extra usb c on the front.

Terrible launch video and  PS5 slim pricing is the same as PS5 thicc launch price. It's crazy how consoles keep the high prices nowadays.

The detachable drive is pretty clever though.  Hopefully there aren't issues with the connections.  It would be pretty nice to turn the console into a digital only one unless i felt I needed to play one of the disc i had.

but likely won't upgrade anyway so doesn't matter to me.

will wait for the likely ps5 pro

Wait, the UK version on both slim models is £30 more that the orginal PS5 launch RRP. The US has the same RRP for slim and original disk consoles but the digital slim is $50 more. This is madness

Yeah the pricing of this thing is still crazy. I guess we can thank smartphones for that. They showed people are willing to pay hefty prices for electronics.

If you're paying 1500 for an iphone what's 500 for a PS5?

We happily paid $300 for a console in 2001 so the pricing isn't actually that bad. It's just the fact that 3 years after launch, the are releasing a slimmer, and presumably cheaper to make, console for more than the original consoles RRP.

Yup. $400 to $450.
