I don't think any other publisher would take it seriously enough to ask the higher ups. I don't think Jim Ryan has talked to Kenichiro Yoshida and gotten potential approval to buy Nintendo.

It feels a bit disingenuous.

Although it's possible he didn't actually ask, and just assumes they would be fine with it.

Based on this only BGS are really worth a dang. I still think $7.5bn for Bethesda was an overpay as the rest of their studios do not make big hits.
