From what I understand, these are from the ftc filings

Phil wants to buy Nintendo:
QuoteMicrosoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer would really like to buy Nintendo someday. In an August 2020 email to two top Microsoft marketing executives, Spencer wrote that "Nintendo is THE prime asset for us in Gaming" and that "getting Nintendo would be a career moment and I honestly believe a good move for both companies."

Bethesda games leaked:

Next gen Xbox by 2028:

MS would be happy getting Warner Bros, Nintendo and Zenimax, and they were in active discussions for WB at the same time as Zenimax.

I hate Phil Xbox Soo much reading this.  guy on era probably said it best.   something like:

I think it's telling that Phil doesn't view his biggest career achievement as fostering successful dev teams or innovating the way people play game.  nope, it is aquiring Nintendo.

Documents covering MS Gamepass plan:

This is impressive.
They apparently expect to spend $300 million + for some gamepass games.

Wild how much they underestimated Baldur's Gate.

The idea that Xbox Series X is basically the pro version of the Xbox seems to hold up. Mid gen refreshes just seem to be around making a disc-less Series X. Which is unfortunate.

Cool to see an Oblivion Remaster confirmed.

It's not new information that MS wants to buy a bunch of publishers. But it's kind of scary to see Spencer talk about how MS would be thrilled (my wording) to buy 2 publishers and one console maker in a single email.

All the more reason for Sony to be aggressive.

re-skimmed and i'm not seeing anything about baldur's gate.   what did they say?

nevermind, see it now.  yeah, 5M for BG3 is a massive underevaluation.   kind of shows why it took soo long for them to even allow the game on the platform.

Sorry I just added it in.

I didn't realize there were two separate images in the Era thread.

"Second run stadia PC RPG, Expected Range ~5m"

So from the FTC website, but it's not the FTC's fault.

Maybe a MS lawyer mistakenly uploaded the wrong documents?

Huge leak but simultaneously very little that the average gamer will care about. Also seems like everything is a few years old.

Disappointing that they plan to go all digital. Hopefully there's some pushback since backwards compatibility with discs is one of their big features.

2026 was already talked about a few days ago but I have no idea where people got that date.
