Have family, my wife has her own job, two years into paying for a house.   :P
Yeah I figured. I just shared an option that I've seen some people do. As I've net people from america who done it

I've talked to people all over the political spectrum.  But I've only recently read posts by people who are "left wing tankies", and that has to be some of the biggest nonsense I've ever seen.

People that think North Korea is good because it's democratic, but struggling because America is bad to them.

And that Russia is in the same category.

I don't know what I did wrong because I've been seeing posts by tankies for years.

Hopefully the US soldier that ran into North Korea wasn't a tankie. I can't think of any reasons to do that, but it would really suck if he thought it'd be better to live there.

Any particular subs that you see that on?

Lots of the political subs during 2020, but I just used r/all.

Fair enough, I don't use r/all.

That's fun. I was a bit surprised he wasn't able to recover any footage for the first video, but I guess they didn't let him search the pond.

Not sure he's accurate about the copywrite but it's a fun grey zone. I know there are cases where animal taken photos are declared public domain, but the past rulings are really shaky now that the billion dollar AI copywrite question is somewhat dependent on them.

Not worth a full thread, but post Disney I've been thinking a lot about telling a story in just a few minutes. The guardians of the galaxy ride has lots of story before you board but even the ride itself is a proper story. (very simple, but still a story that has stuck with me)

And then I read this post: Reddit - Dive into anything

It's a true shame that so many modern people think of stories as disposable. They think a 2 hour movie has exactly 2 hours of story so that's all it's worth, while games/shows have 10's of hours of story so they're worth much more.

Where did this come from? The og Alien film for example would suck as a longer story. You could have an episode focusing on the company, an episode focusing on Ellen Ripley's backstory, an entire flashback of the alien's origins, etc., but then you're telling those stories instead of Alien's story. It's a massive downgrade that only offers more superficial "content." Same thing for 2001 a Space Odyssey. You could fill in a lot of the details but then you'd be telling a different story.

It seems like every gamer has moved on from liking Assassin's Creed like bloated messes, so when will people realize the same is happening with stories? Hijack for example is 7 episodes just about a plane hijacking? They could show the story in real time with no cuts and it'd be over faster.

edt: take a shot every time someone in that thread says something along the lines of "more time for character development."

I don't think I've ever seen a "legit" article/page that was so funky. Why are random words linking to unrelated articles!? I know it's a common trend to link to related articles in the text like they do with the grimace shake or "confirmed aliens," but why do they also do it with "geography" and "December!?!?"

I hope Colorado is one of their trial markets. I love novelty food and with the limited info I doubt this catches on.

I hate it so much when a small bit of music comes into my head randomly or a line of dialogue, where I would know if I heard it again, but none of it is descriptive enough to be able to search for it.

I'm having that right now with that one game Sony showed off a few years ago. Catchy music and almost a chibi like art style yet the dance animations were hyper realistic.

One hypothetically nice aspect of having movies/TV shows as video files on your PC is that you can fix video issues.

You can add subtitles or fix audio delays.

How many movies don't have subtitles? I hardly ever use them but I thought dvds made them incredibly standard?
