Playstation are recharging. The two best conferences were Xbox and Ubisoft but they've both been terrible over 1 year and 6 months. With games taking so long to make we just need to get ready for lulls except for Insomniac who are just a machine. GG and Santa Monica we won't see for years. ND who actually knows at this point probably still too early.  Sucker Punch should definitely be announcing something within the next year or so I'd imagine. Xdev could spring a surprise. The likes of Firesprite, Housemarque and Bluepoint are real widlcards too. Sadly Bend are probably years away too. I am not getting my hopes up for future conferences and have accepted games are taking much longer to make. Sony definitely need more studios to account for the lulls and cannot keep relying on third party exclusives as eventually they might dry up.

I think you're a bit pessimistic about Santa Monica. Cory has been working on his project since GoW 2018 went out. (Although I'm sure I'm overly optimistic.)
Depending on how ready he was to go after Ragnarok was done, it might be an early 2025 game.

I get that Sony isn't going to have great years every time, but it feels worse when they don't announce things, and thus we can't be sure if next year will be any better.

I also kind of appreciate that MS seems to have been trying to get to 4 games a year, whereas Sony only seems to be aiming for at least 2.

Which Sony's is a baseline and MS's seems more like a goal; so it's not great to compare those two.

But I kind of think that's a nice approach.

Sony said at least 2 major games a year.

Also, I dont believe the MS one.

Also its not what you aim for. Its what you do. And MS has not been releasing many games

I also imagine MS's goal for 4 will be highly subjective.  is high fi rush really what people expect as 1 of their 4 games for their gamepass sub?

That is what I said.

What you do matters of course.
But what you've done is not necessarily indicative of the future. If you're setting lower goals, that can be concerning.

Perhaps I am but I really don't think a big enough of SSM have been working on Cory's game to be ready for 2025.

The only positive is I am seeing third parties picking up the slack in regards to my favourite style of games with third person single player narrative games. Ubisoft, EA, Warner etc are all delivering big time now so I don't need to rely on Sony provide me that fix.

"What we provide for PlayStation Studios is high quality PC ports, and more and more in creating remasters"

Are they talking about like PC remasters or are they actually making more full remastered games?

probably both.  like if they decide to port infamous 1 and 2 to PC then of course it will also be a port/remaster for ps5.   i wouldn't be surprised if they have a project or 2 like that.  there are a lot of classic ps games not on ps5.   i would love it if R&C for instance got ported.

QuoteIn addition to the achievements of the video game versions of Battlegrounds and Black Desert, Neowiz's P's lie, Shift Up's Stellar Blade, and NCsoft's TL are attracting attention as they are developed as video games one after another.

Sony is promoting business alliances and collaborations with them. In particular, with Pearl Abyss ahead of the release of 'Red Desert' (Crimson Desert), Sony is discussing partnership plans including equity investment to secure exclusive content.

Neowiz, Com2uS, NCsoft, etc. are also considered partners who are predicted to expand collaboration with Sony.
