Just started The Night Agent last night. Really good so far.

I watched the first 2.5 episodes of Dark.


I can definitely see what people were meaning about the dub.  Sometimes dubs do a good job of matching up with the lips, but it was pretty distracting here. Watching with subtitles. Almost makes me want to learn German....

Pretty good show. Kind of getting Stranger Things vibes, which might not be a good comparison, but it's probably the closest I can make. But I feel like it's not as character driven as Stranger Things.

I've watched the boys and I'm very glad we don't have superheroes.

a lot of people compare it to stranger things.   i think it's mostly because they are both on netflix and because dark just doesn't have a good comparison.

going to start owl house after i post this...   ...mostly came here to make sure i knew which show to start.  xD

3 episodes in.  it's fine.   i don't hate it or anything but also i feel like i've watch it before due to how much it follows a formula i've watched many times before.   i'll keep watching it,.. maybe it gets better as it goes.

in summary it's a kid-centric show that's no better or worse than what i have watched and love to rewatch except for 1 fact: i don't have any nostalgia for it.


my only "real" critique is that i don't much care for cartoons where i can't get over knowing who the voice actor is.   things like owen wilson voicing lighting mcqueen i find to be a distraction.   the voice of wendie malick was the same for me.  very immediately recognizable in a distracting way.

I don't think it really comes into its own until a bit later in the first season.  
Second season is pretty great.

I generally plan to keep watching both shows.

I started rewatching lost. Won't do the full series but it was really fun seeing the pilot episode again 19 years later.

i mean,... i think a lot of it is that last part.   part of what i like about dark i suppose,.. i can't find a direct comparison to it so it stands out for me as memorable.   i'm an old man at this point so it's hard to watch something and not think it's just like such-n-such...

i'll got back to owl house tonight i suppose.    new girl should have been kicked off netflix today and i tried to finish that series up last week.  didn't quite make it but i got to all but the last season.  not the kind of show that will entirely bother me that i didn't finish it but at the same time i was enjoying that show and wanted to catch as much of it as i could.

It's a little funny how The Owl House, Amphibia and Gravity Falls share so many of the same people.  

Looking forward to whatever they do next.

I finished the first four episodes of Mrs. Davis on peacock.

Holy shame what is going on but I am totally in. It's a very lindelof show. It's weird and goofy but I'm so intrigued.
