I can't think of a show I love enough to push on someone. Foundation was pretty great but the second half got kinda slow.

um.. intelligent show?   it's a bit like our other thread I derailed by bringing up skinner.  it's a time travel show about fatalism vs free will. 

so I guess I mean it depends on what you mean by heavy.  bad stuff happens but that's not exactly the focus of the show.  ..but it's not a comedy or anything.  it's a dark drama.


and it's like the greatest show ever. 


and I'll warn you in advance, I'll only take your challenge if it doesn't cost me money.  I have Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon for steaming and a competent library.

oh, and it's in German.  there is an English dub but I thought they did a bad job of it. I watched it all with subtitles.

Listening to the German is so pleasant to my ears hehe. But I agree it's an incredible show.

I agree Dark is one of the best shows ever created. I don't know that I'd considered it terribly emotionally heavy.


It's a shame 1899 didn't match Dark even though it was very good as well at times

I also really like Teen Wolf. It's on Hulu or paramount+. First season is a little more on the corny and teen drama side but as the season goes on and subsequent seasons really hit hard into tons of myths like Japanese myths with kitsune's, Oni, and plenty of others.

It's one I tend to like rewatching every 2 or 3 years

I've watched the boys and I'm very glad we don't have superheroes.


Also I watched night agent and I'd recommend it. They put a lot more effort into plot writing than most Netflix shows.
