State of Play returns this Thursday, February 25 – PlayStation.Blog

Time for another State of Play! This Thursday, a State of Play broadcast will serve up new updates and deep dives for 10 games coming to PS4 and PS5, including new game announcements and updates on some of the third-party and indie titles you last saw in June's PS5 showcase.

The show is clocking it at 30 minutes or so, give or take. Can't wait to hear what you think! And a quick note: there won't be PlayStation hardware or business-focused updates in this show. We're focusing on great games set to come out in the months ahead.

This almost makes it sound like the focus is on third party titles. 

I'm going to bet that there will be 4 or fewer first party titles.

returnal.  ratchet and clank.  kena.  oddworld.  it takes two maybe.  probably a few of the other indies previously announced get dated for h1 2021 like jett or volcano high or whatever.   at least 1 announcement so the announcement-announcement is accurate.

not a mind blowing show but it will be nice none-the-less.

If this is wrong he'll be banned and there's nothing from the mods yet, so seems like it could be real.

If so, very meh, would probably go down worse than Nintendo Direct. But also I don't think people's expectations are as high here so we'll see.

I make fun of Switch for late ports so it would be hypocritical of me to say that this would be an exciting announcement for a show.

Hades is less than half a year old and the GOTY of 2020 though so its a bit better than a random dog late port. Still would be a meh announcement though.

 - two announcements for popular but smaller titles: among us and hades.

 - sony talks about oddworld again because they can't stop talking about this dud.

Anyway the new Returnal trailer suggests this might be a troll, I'm surprised no Era mod has said anything about it yet because lots of people are believing it.

Seems like that's the case. People get banned for pretending to post inside info without it being a clear joke, but if its a known user who they like then its all fun and games I guess.

What is reliable is that normally PS+ would have been announced by now, seems Sony are leaving that to be announced in the show.
