So Returnal and Destruction getting stuff outside of the show seems a strong indicator they won't be in the show. And if they're not in the show then why not? Returnal feels like it could do with the extra spotlight.

there's no reason it can't be both. 

anything that is in the show will certainly get a blog post after the show.  ..so getting a blog post before the show doesn't mean it won't be in the show.  the return trailer was nice and all but the game needs more to justify a $70 price tag.  that trailer could have been release just the whet our appetites.
