Wowza. Really makes Bethesda games sound like well polished bug free experiences.

I haven't heard of any Cyberpunk glitches corrupting save files or making progression impossible. Bethesda game glitches are pretty harmless outside of those.

edt: lol

I've had a quest get stuck because a phone call wasn't made to me, even worse was that it had an area to search on the map so it took me quite a while to realize something had gone wrong. Had to restart the game to get that to work. I've had smaller stuff like taking full fall damage from a 5ft drop and having to restart from a checkpoint. I had it where using the dpad didn't cycle through dialogue choices like it should, had to restart the game to fix that. Also this could be a PS5 issue but the game has crashed roughly once every hour I've played so far. Every crash completely resets all of my settings as well.

Also it may not be game breaking but it does ruin the best parts of the game when a weird glitch happens during story moments, like a character getting tangled on a corpse and lying flat on the ground in their standing pose during what was supposed to be one of the most emotional scenes of the game so far (happened to me). Another I've seen is during a really important scene early on, a character pulling a frickin gun out of their head instead of the chip from its slot and passing it to you.

Cynical, probably pre-planned, non-apology. They knew exactly what they were doing with the console versions of this, and this apology doesn't cover any of the issues outside of the bugs. They hid shame and lied to consumers, and they probably planned this apology hoping to be forgiven by Gamers and get away with it. Here's a TBT:

Also the review score starts to tumble now, Opencritic down to 89 after a 6/10 and a 6.5/10 were added.

Holy shame a 3/10 on Opencritic, don't often see a score that low. Now 88.

And CDPR has no one to blame but their leadership.

87Bold of you to assume this hype train can end up in the 70s, even if the game sucks.
i don't want to say i told you so but...

Well its definitely not reaching the 70s. I edited my low end to 85 a day before the embargo when I saw a hint of this coming and I think that should be about right.

Incredibly unprecedented.

I guess at the very least I should hold off from playing till the first January patch.

I posted that link last night but it's still just as funny  ;D

An opencritic guy commented on Era saying they were actually putting that message a bit mildly. They suspect that review keys were only given to publications that CDPR knew had 3000 series RTX graphics cards.

yeah, i remember the posting that reviews copies would be pretty limited just prior to release.  i didn't think about it at the time but a targeted effort to hide this seems obvious now.

someone argued against me that this kind of thing isn't a big enough deal to rainbow the reputation of the entire studio so i'll speak for myself here.  CDPR was held in high esteem with me a few weeks ago and are currently at the top of my shame list.   i had planned to buy this after a couple price drops but at this point even if they fix the game i'm going to skip it.  they don't deserve to be rewarded for this kind of BS.
