Used the dualsense on PC with the ds4windows fix for it, so no working haptics or adaptive triggers yet. However, I still absolutely love it. Just the feel of it in the hand, and the greatly improved buttons and shoulder bumpers are nice and then the triggers are much better, they're bigger and have more travel so they feel much better for, say, controlling your car in FH4. And the analogue sticks are improved from Dualshock 4 with a much better grip.

Sony really nailed the controller, I didn't expect this. They only really talked about the new haptics and triggers but they did amazing work on everything else too. This is the best standard controller now.

My 18 minutes of exclusivity were fun while they lasted.

Welcome to the party!!!

I forgot how short the PS5 hdmi cord is. For now I have to wire it infront of my cabinet lol. Can't close it.

How long is it?

Ah okay, that's fine for me.

Seems like Miles Morales is quite commonly causing big issues on PS5. Avoid it for now.

Actually there's a whole number of things causing issues. PS5 seems absolutely riddled with problems.

So far no issues with mine. Only done a bit of astro and bugsnax.

UI: I find myself wishing the tiles were larger.
There's less clutter, but mostly because it does fewer things. A lot of stuff though feels like it's harder to get to than on PS4.  Might just be that I'm more used to it.

As always I patiently wait for more language options on a console. Steam does it well here.

One oddity about the activity tracker. It includes games that I haven't played. It includes Dark Souls 3 for example and has quite a bit of play time.  The other games are all games my brother has played, but I don't think he's ever played them on my PS4. (At the very least never on my profile).

Controller:
Another huge jump in build quality. Feels solid and it feels great.  Haptics and the triggers are great, but I do feel like I got spoiled on it. It's like constantly present in Astro's playroom, but it's light enough that it never overstays it's welcome.  (I do feel like I'm missing out on something with Astrobot not being in VR....)

Console: feels solid as well.  My complaint is that the stand doesn't quite snap on as tight as it should. (I'm not sure if it came defective, or if I wiggled it and made it less tight, or if that's just how it is). During set up I moved it a couple times and the stand got left behind. Seems way better in vertical. But it's not really going to matter in use.

I did open up the console for fun.
I didn't spend that much time opening it.  But it slides really easily when you pull it in just the right way.  But it isn't super easy to pull it in just the right way.

I can agree with your ui issues. I love the look and sound but really dislike the slowness of things I care about.

Also I think this launch has been even more anticlimatic than series x lol. I have no games to play and was spoiled about everything else as a dev.

More on the UI bit:

Media menu is a good improvement. No longer forcing you to look at apps you don't have yet. And even better not having the first app be something you don't want. (for now at least...)

It weirdly feels like PS5 has two home menus.  The card menu (control/command center- forgot which) and the home menu. It can feel a bit disjointed.  It's like the main PS4 home page + that menu that you see when you go up, except it's more separated.

(To go to the card menu, hold down the button just a little longer.)

On the main console it's serviceable.  I still am not sure about it, but it's okay.

I remote played from the PS4, and that was actually awesome.  I've never had a really good remote play experience until now. Usually bad internet.

The issue with the home menu is now you have to select out of 5 options in a list on PS4 remote play.

I think 80% of it just as good, maybe better but something to get used to.
20% of it is a little worse.
