If you asked me today what I would want in the perfect scenario I would have said:

PS5 £450 with a pre-order secured
PS5 has the best case scenario launch lineup with Spidey, Sackboy, Destruction AS, Demon's Souls & Astro Playroom
We see amazing looking Spidey & Demon's Souls gameplay
We get a cool new announcement like FF16
God of War 2 announced would be awesome but unexpected

We got all of that and more, God of War 2 is next year! Its balanced by the bad news of Sony lying & H2, Sackboy and Spidey being cross-gen, the actual show being a mess and it taking ages to figure all this stuff out and the price hike for Sony games.

So overall a very, very good day even if the show itself was fairly meh. Hopefully places like amazon and shopto in the UK keep selling physical games for way below the digital RRP.

Sony seems very averse to announcements.  

They've been notably vague with release dates.  Even the DS trailer didn't include a release date. Which is strange. I think out of all their announcements God of War is the only one they have given any details of in their conferences.

In addition to what I said before. Sony seems particularly reactive to criticism in a way I haven't really seen them before.  They're being kind of awkward with their reactions.

It just kind of feels like Sony is so worried about messing up, it's causing them to mess up more.

there better be a onslaught of ps5 deep dives in the next month.   We are at under 2 months and we require a deep dive (or second look) into:
- the ps5 OS 
- backwards compatibility
- astro's playroom
- sackboy a big adventure
- destruction all-stars
- returnal
- kena

- jett
- pathless

We should also get a true deep dive and not just a second trailer to:
- demon's souls

It was so quickly swept under the rug as being a "not good enough gamepass answer" that the PS+ collection has barely been mentioned in the last couple of days at all. But I think its pretty awesome and a great value offering for people to hop onto PS5. 18 of the best games of this gen all in PS+ subscription is awesome.

Yeah it's a good alternative to gamepass at launch. Gives people new to playstation a great selection of old games.
