Demon's Souls has been rated in Japan, Korea, Brazil now.

Most PS games are rated 2-3 months before launch. So it seems incredibly likely that DS is still coming this year.

Was never in doubt!

Also possible that the age rating is a bit early since it's a remake. They know exactly what's in the game even if there is still some work left.

Does that ever happen though?

you'd have a better point if this was a remaster.  as a remake 100% content parity is not guaranteed and a standard review process is probably required.

It's not about 100% content parity, it's just about the devs having a pretty good idea of what the finished game will be. I don't think any ratings agencies have a special review process for remasters.

Sony being obstinate to announce anything at all makes sense to me if they are planning a big final pre-release show to announce release date, price, final UI hopefully.  Most importantly show off the games with launch dates.

Then I would understand they are waiting for a final price.

But the part that doesn't make any sense to me is why Sony isn't pointing out these PS4, PSVR games will also be playable on PS5.

Are they holding back so that they can have a super big mega blow out?

Nah. This is the least hypest next gen ever. We'll still get all the news but it'll be spread out amongst random blog posts, tweets, and hands on impressions. The only large scale PS5 thing was the July event. At most I think we might get a standard quality state of play in November.

If Series S is $299 with:

512GB SSD
4TF RDNA2 (20CUs @ 1.550Ghz) GPU
8-core 16thread 3.8GHz CPU
10GB GDDR6 RAM
No disc drive

How much more expensive can PS5 digital be with:

825GB faster SSD - better and bigger than Series S
10TF (36CUs 2.23GHz) GPU - better
3.5GHz GPU - worse
16GB GDDR6 RAM @ slower speed - bit better than series S
No disc drive - same

I think the difference probably comes to around $100 but Sony could bite the bullet and go $50 more if they really want to nail the series S.

Make no mistake, Series S is Sony's competition this gen.

16 threaded mode is 3.6Ghz

If Sony are having a show and intend to be price competitive with Series S it needs to be this week before too many people get sold on the S.

No, not yet. I think Sony still has time to open pre-orders first. If that GAME rumour is true then it should be this week.

Playstation UK tweeted out a scene from GoT, with a proud display of buttocks.
