Kena articles went live:

20 Questions (And Answers) About Kena: Bridge Of Spirits - Game Informer

What Does The PS5 Bring To Kena: Bridge Of Spirits? - Game Informer

QuoteFirst up, there's the matter of load times. Sony has touted the speed of the PS5's solid-state drive, and how it virtually eliminates long loads. In practice, we watched as Kena was launched from the PlayStation 5 system menu. It took about two seconds. That's not resuming a suspended game, but launching the game fresh.
Why hasn't Sony marketed this, or like anything?

Lol.

2 seconds is insane.

I wonder if we went see quick resume because it's all quick.

Suspend is still nice because for offline games it lets you pause and "save" at any time.

i do that all the time.  especially useful when you are playing and the wife starts screaming about some emergency.   it's soo nice to be responsive to her needs and not feel like my gaming session was negatively impacted.   honestly the best part of this gen.

It was the only pause button for Bloodborne on PS4.

Yep. Couldn't play demons souls for long due to no pause

Whew the hot takes are running wild today... So I just wanna say something that I felt for some time now:

He's gained some notoriety for his event leaks this summer, but Jeff Grubb is really just a complete idiot.

Aww :'(

What did Jeff Grubb say?

It's a bit of a stretch to say he's a complete idiot. But he's definitely been making some bad takes.

Basically he thinks:
- Sony can't afford to take a loss on PS5, despite the fact that Sony is doing better than they have in a while.
- That Sony would have announced the price already if it was good.

What if they can afford it but would rather not. They were waiting to see if MS would force them to take the loss

ps5 was always going to be sold at a loss at launch.  ps4 was sold at a loss at launch but as they said after selling 1 full priced game ps4 was almost break even.    ... and sony was in much more dire straights at ps4's launch financially.

the waiting game over xbox is all down to how much of a loss do they want to take.   $50?  $100?  $150?    no need to loose money if xbox was $600.  no need to lose the generation if xbox was $400.

I think it's perfectly fair imo, this isn't the first time after all.

When that PS5 pre order registration thing opened he spun some crud about how Sony might try to use this to make most of the PS5 sales this year through their own store, to be able to hide the price until October (even though that whole thing was US only).

He was on the forefront of arguing that Xbox would surely abandon Gold and he would even insult people and tell them they didn't understands MS' business strategy when they argued MS wouldn't leave that money behind.

Somehow he always arrives at the conclusion that MS is either already doing all the right things, while Sony is lacking or that MS will be doing some crazy new thing that will tip the scale in their favour.

Like when he wrote an article about how exclusives didn't really matter that much, which ended with the conclusion that blockbuster games are fine but they don't increase platform engagement, so investments in services like Gamepass and Backwards Compatibility are better.

Or when he came up with the theory that MS could sell the Series S without a controller to get an extra low price.

Or when he claimed that third party exclusive deals would start looking real silly, once MS would start paying for third party games to instead come day 1 to Gamepass, mere weeks before Microsoft would come out and also announce third party exclusive deals.

His takes have a very obvious tendency to lean towards overselling Xbox and downplaying Playstation.

Sony which has taken a loss on every PS console
Sony which took a $300 loss on PS3 at launch
Sony which is doing its best ever as a company on the whole with every division being very profitable
Sony which forecast $500M+ reduction in operating loss due to PS5

What an absolute tool. Most gaming journalists are idiots.
